With Martin on this, the only way to find what’s popping it is trace print on pcb to the edge connectors to see what it’s driving. circuit diagram doesn’t give component numbers & there are 2 different listed for this model: EWM1000+ & EWM2000

    Re: Travel Database:

Story of Travel Database on National Radio this morning, also the story of the Governments intent to force Comprehensive Schoolkids into eating what they decide is healthy. Apparently from late 2009 there will be 2 set dinners on the menu whether you are paying for them or not & the kids will have no choice in what they eat.

Come back Stalin all is forgiven.

Their latest loony idea is to pay Grandparents for staying home to look after the Grandchildren, anyone know when the next spaceship leaves? I think I want to get off.

Re: Samsung M1713N microwave – needs new light bulb

Hi: It maybe the bulb cover but is more likely to be the Waveguide cover, due to the dangers involved with Microwave ovens Manufacturers tend not to fit user replaceable items & many now fit the bulb inside the casing.

WARNING: Do not remove the outer cover of your Microwave for any reason, leave it to an Engineer these machines can KILL. 😯

Wrong forum maybe. What Telecommunications Database? Please tell me more, & yes this would affect us all as we all use electronic mail regularly.
As you said Squaddie, why the hell would they need to know how much you spend, where you stay or when your house is empty for National Security? We are supposed to be stopping terrorists getting in.

Fancy a POLICE STATE anyone, isn’t it wonderful what they can dress up as being for national security? Before long you will have to get permission to travel to the next town. 😡

icanfixthat wrote:Received the new module, and it is slightly different, Fitted it and the machine nearly works exactly the same as before. It will start a cycle, but never finish. So now I’ll start replacing each part one by one untill it is fixed and then put back the others to see if the fault returns. Any one have the resistance readings readings for the sensors and heaters, , hot and cold?

Hi: In your 4th post you say that you used a meter to test the sensors & hot water to alter their characteristics & one can assume the sensors are working correctly. How can you make this assumption if you had no idea of the correct sensor values to start with, especially the NTC? 😕
You mention also in your posts that the board couldn’t be faulty as there were no signs of burning or blown components. There do not have to be physical signs visible for an Electronic component to be faulty.
As you have already replaced the module without success wouldn’t it be a good idea to call an Engineer & save wasting more money?

Glad to help Kev, I know it doesn’t look like it sometimes but we all do our best to help people. Unfortunately we can’t tell the skill of the people were replying to so have to be careful for Legal / Safety reasons.

    Re: HOTPOINT CDT00P DRYER.

Just been thinking: Unless i am thinking of a different machine, the pump is supposed to run continually until the the water container is full. Then the float switch activates to turn off the pump & heater and turns on the empty water bottle LED on the front panel.
