ParticipantRe: bosch wta3003gb/17
This is an elasticated belt you will need here (an 1897EJ3 in fact) Fits Crosslee and White Knight CL412 (Connect part no BLT209)
Maybe I missing something here?
The belt i have taken off is 1840mm surely a 1897mm belt will be too big??

ParticipantRe: Unusual Hotpoint Condensor dryer fault.
Had a TDC60 today which will not start. No lights nothing!
Checked switches, stats, wiring all ok.
Is it the selector switch or module at fault?
Any ideas
cheers.

ParticipantRe: hoover hp13
well it seems that there are more than one board for this model as a tel call to connect revealed, surprized that yet again none of the engineers on this forum could offer that solution, most questions i have submitted has generally drawn a blank or some wrong suggestion, i’m sure some genuine help has been offered by some ,but get the feeling there is a reluctance by others to offer genuine help ,
Why do you keep using the site if you find it so useless?
I personally find this site very useful. You may not get all the answers you want but nothing in life is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
Chill out a bit a stop being so paranoid.

ParticipantRe: Samsung Washer J1453 Leak and Error CE
Check the pressure tube is ok. the pressure tube can split at bottom near reservoir and also at the top of tube near pressure switch. If its a white tube then there is a modified tube dc62-10311a.
The CE is often related to the machine not rinsing in time or at all.
The two faults are probably linked.

ParticipantRe: Hoover HNL 2126 Stops.
There are some nextra fault codes in the fault book. I assume they must be in the known fault codes.
Have you been to the machine yet?
Sounds to me like a intermittant pump or fill problem. Check the heater as well. The customer may be linking it to the 59 minute wash when there is no reason to. (just trying to help you in your diagnosis) 😉

ParticipantRe: What’s Reasonable I wonder ?
What would you do here ?
I would forget it and move on.(difficult i know).
I know you have lost out but if you charge i’m sure you will never see the money or, if by chance they do pay up, you will have to give more of your blood in the future.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wm73 still getting same error
Low insulation on heater can cause this fault. rare but does happen.
Unplug machine before investigating.

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
I don’t think anyone was disagreeing with you on the safety side of things.
What I was amazed at was;
Sorry to put a mockers on this Cornwell40 but get your act together man!! I had to read it twice in disbelievment.!!!!
You write like ‘Cornwell40’ is a complete idiot. Why is it so difficult to believe that a customer would do such a thing? and that something could have been done to prevent it.
I think the focus should be more on the customer rather than the engineer in question.
We all know that there are Health and Safety rules but accidents can still happen.

ParticipantRe: Hoover Performa 110 fluff!
The fluff can go various ways and places.
Some on the door seal, some down the drain with the water, and some into hoses.
In your case the fluff has probably built up in the condenser unit and hose at the back of the machine. This will have gradually built up over the years. A good service / clean out will do the job.
See repairs@ for a local engineer.

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
it’s a simple matter of creating a barrier of some description, toolbox, chairs etc.
Are you serious?
“Risk assessment” and “health and safety”
What if that barrier is blocking the back door and theres a fire in the front room!
I think you are overacting a bit here and not thinking of all the consequences.
I warn people of the dangers as i’m sure most people do but telling someone to vacate their own room is taking it a bit far.

ParticipantRe: hoover dryer dead
and i would have thought by keeping the on switch pushed in i would have got motor action untill i released the button
On this model is it turn timer dial and press start?
Or is it turn timer dial, switch on/off switch on, and then press start?

ParticipantRe: hoover dryer dead
p.s
If its not the model I said… it might be just the start pcb as on the previous range.
