Tablets dont work as well and the elements get scaled up quicker if you are in a hard water area but a big majority of people use them.
I still think this is the best option for you as Diplomat dishwashers are of poor build quality and not worth spending a great deal of money on IMO.

If it was my dishwasher I would start using the all in one tablets rather than spend money on this particular brand.

Went back to this machine last friday and suggested he stop using the all in one tablets and start using separate salt, rinse aid and loose powder detergent.
I have not heard from him so maybe it was foaming up.

I cant believe you turn a washing machine up side down to work on it Plonker 😕 Sooner or later you will get a drip of water on the main board or water in the pressure switch.

Things have picked up for me over the last couple of weeks but I have just completed my books for the first 4 months of the year and I am 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} down on this time last year 😥

Thanks Don I think you are right, I will have to give them a ring as their intergrated brochure does not show these dimensions.

To set the record straight I dont do free estimates, I charge £15 which is not a lot but then I am trying to encourage people to consider a repair before buying a new one.

Not sure if this is the model with the empty bucket timer position, if it is set it to that and turn it on.

Thanks for your help Martin. Will have another look.
If it is a blockage I cannot see how the machine is sensing this and bringing in the drain pump 😕

Sorry should have explained that rather than take the dryer down to check if the drum was sealed I assumed it had a split tub so estimated job at £140.
Customer was going to lift the dryer off the washing machine.

Told her to get a German built Siemens with a 5yr Gtee, not an easy bearing change on these I know but less likely to happen.

    Had one call today 😥

Will keep my eye out for one. I have one or two on my patch still.
Brings back happy memories for me as my dad { sadly passed away last Dec } was working for Servis when they came out. He had one on test at home and had to fill out a report sheet on its perfomance or lack of!
They were certainly ahead of their time with fault codes digital display etc
Most parts seem obsolete now though 😥

Re: Hotpoint WMA66P Poor Motor Action

Just rang her, she is getting Hotpoint to sort it out under a extended Gtee for £150. I did suggest this to her as a new motor or module is £170 with the labour 😥

    Thanks for your help.
