    Re: Glaring design faults

The current Zanussi/Electrolux washing machines where the drain tube can be easily pulled off the pump housing, flooding the kitchen the next time it is used 😥

Thanks Chris, just tried putting that number in to Connect system and it comes up 1605635 again but I am sure you are right having looked at a picture in the Parts Centre Cat, will ring the Rep and tell them to sort it out.

Local rep always happy to take parts back for me but do get fed up with the amount of pattern parts I receive having ordered genuine.
They must think we are stupid.
Are they selling pattern parts online to the unsuspecting general public I wonder?

Give it a couple of years and you will struggle to find a manufacturer who produces a machine that you can fit new drum bearings and shaft.
There are two groups making money here,(been posted before I know) the manufactures producing crap and the recyclers recycling the crap.
Work is certainly on the downward spiral for me and can only see it getting worse, a great shame because as you have said before yourself the best way to recycle is to repair.

    Re: Washing Machine recommendations

The Bosch WAE 24162 is the machine to buy at that price, this comes with a 2 year parts and labour Gtee
The Hoover only comes with 1 years parts and labour Gtee so after the 1st year is up you will have to pay a high labour charge every time it goes wrong.

Re: Zanussi FJ 1454W Board Fault ?

Thanks for letting me know about the E90 error code. The problem I have now is I cannot access the diagnostic system to configure the new board by holding down the skip/reset & start/pause button and turning machine on etc.
    Thanks

Re: AEG L12700VIT no display after testing pump terminals

Well if it was me I would go back to this machine armed with a new power module, door lock and wiring harness Prt no 1249331123 the lock and harness are always worth carrying I find.
Before fitting any of these parts I would check every single electrical component I could, check for earth leakage, correct resistance readings even check that new element you fitted.
If all ok I would fit the wiring harness to see if you can get a display on the interface.
If no better I would fit the door lock then the board which would have to be configured all the info on this is available on the Electrolux/Distriparts DVD.
    Good Luck
