I have found most of the time if its got to the stage that the bearings have gone then an entire motor will be required as the motor housing wil be corroded through.

Fingers crossed if your doing a large job like this with just the bearings, seal and housing then!.

Yes saves you loads of time changing the wires into a new connector plug, just snip off the keycoded lugs on the plug, ensure its the right way and the tacho,s match and plug her in.

This does not work obviously for the earlier models that have the large in line plug.

Hi I would not advise putting the machine into diagnostic mode without the service manual.
If you press the wrong buttons you can easily re- programme the pcb so it thinks its another appliance.

In awnser to your other question, no recoding the pcb may clear the fault from the memory but the fault will re-occur unless you solve the underlying fault.

Hi, used a bearing tool to remove bearings a few times, found there is more scope to mess them up.
I have found that when pressing the bearings in with tools like this its possible to push them in not far enough in the housing so they dont run smoothly.
How do you judge when the bearings are tight against the housing?

Never had a recall bashing them in.

I thought it was a joke as well, needs a 2.5 meter inlet hose. There looks to be no give in the mains cable or the drain hose. Still alot of work to do to for access to most repairs.

Could it be a blockage in the transfer tube only allowing a very small amount of water to fill so it appears that there is weak motor action.
I have seen the wash pump run with no water inside when the tube / pressure system are totaly blocked. Just a thought.

Hi Ray I think this is one of the older machines with the 3 small syphon air chamber tubes under the filter. Have you tried cleaning them out as they are often linked to non filling issues. Also underneath their is a transfer tube in corregated plastic that often gets blocked.

Hi Yes my value is different on a new machine than a normal repair. I normally price major repairs involving tub out bearing changes higher because of the labour involved.
I also justify the higher price on new machines as the total time and labour spent is equivanelnt (or more) than a major repair.

suppose it depends where you live and what value you put on your time. . .

Yes I used a pattern one on Saturday, Masterpart part no: HP62103. Fitted in easily and door opens as required.

Selling the ISE 2 for £320 now. Hate to think of anyone selling themselves short.

I am probably alone but I am not going out to a machine, diagnosing its BER, removing, installing and disposing of the old appliance for £50 – £60.

Hi I would probably go for the module then, How long is she saying the quick wash is taking?.

The programmes on these are very long, and can be extended by low water pressure and an out of balance load issues.
