Re: 5 Year Parts and Labour Warranty

Ok thanks for both your replies and I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question and don`t know where you got the impression of “fiddling” the system as nothing could be further from my thoughts.
However many of my calls in any week or month are for simple customer mistakes and I don`t mind because they already know what they `re going to pay.
I have never had the need to do work for a third party and have no idea about national averages or what goes down as user error etc. , so pardon my ignorance.

Again thanks for reply and I wish you well.

Don`t bother with the surgery bit ,the new knob will function perfectly without the flimsy plastic bits on the indicator .

There seems to be 2 seperate PCB`S to make up this module , were both replaced ❓ . Part Number 155272 is described as Triac 😕 the other one is 295666.

    Hi

Seems like fan oven element needs replacing , straight forward and inexpensive job for any experienced engineer 😀 .

Try repairs@ on the left of this page for a local UKW Engineer.

Power off if you`re having a look yourself :zap:

Full model number required , Diplomat normally use three letters followed by four numbers (eg ADP5406).
If its not around the door you will need to remove fixing screws and slide oven out slightly to hopefully reveal a label plate on top of casing with model number.

    Power off :zap:

Kirk , it`s very unlikely this washing machine is completing its cycle if not heating the water , remember it`s only at the initial wash when the water is heated and all rinses are in cold water.
Try it on a 90C program and you should certainly feel the heat.

May well be that the dryer is faulty and not giving you heat but this is a seperate issue and an experienced engineer would be my advice.

Check repairs@ on the left of this page.

Power off if you do decide to look further yourself :zap:

Part number you need is 421307783571 and if required an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and it`ll be dealt with from there I`m sure 😀 .

Power off if investigating, click the link below for a engineer if you’re not confident.

Simple and inexpensive job for a local engineer and would eliminate any chance of mis-diagnosis as there are a number of causes , pointed out previously.

myfil wrote:or you can go into one appliance and then loop out to the second. Most commonly I have looped into the hob, and then out to the oven, but sometimes there is more room for the two cables in the oven.

Haven`t done any installation work for years but certainly don`t like the idea of linking these appliances at their mains terminal blocks.
You would be adding the current drawn by these appliances through the mains terminal block and if you did this you have an overload situation.
Doubt it would even be possible to get two 6mm cables into either hob or oven terminal block and shouldn`t be considered anyway.

Speaking to our local Dyson Engineer yesterday he is pretty sure Dyson are going to relaunch a washing machine later on in the year.
Might not be a bad thing if it pushes up the public perception of how much a washing machine should cost.

He didn`t know any details of it but interesting all the same.

Re: Creda C361E top/bottom oven not working

It may now be best to call in a local engineer to deal with this problem as a replacement clock assembly would be expensive but there should be a more practical repair possible if you do not need the clock functions.

Try repairs@ (on the left of this page) for a UKW Engineer in your area.

After a loss of power you need to set the time clock 😉

Sounds more like a dodgy customer to me . Not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain but I would find it most unlikely that machine would progress through it`s complete cycle if it wasn`t heating the water.

I would ask them to try a 90C wash , then they`ll know if it`s heating or not.
