Thanks Penguin, put it to the customer the price as a Bosch supplied part and labour. accepted and presto up and running. Just shows you cant really think for the customer.
THE FAULT WITH THIS ONE WAS NO HEAT DUE TO BURNT OUT TERMINAL ON THE TIMER.

Chaffed pressure hose is likely, movement from the tub may just be opening and closing a small hole in the hose? These were cut short at one time and very possible that they chaffe or come off altogether. You can identify it when that happens. 😯

    Re: wma50

I friend some time ago changed a wma tub and found the machine was doing something very similar. he begged a board and then came back and asked for another as it was faulty :rolls: We got together and found the two wires to the relay on the board were reversed. uninsulated and non insulated cable ends on the relay.
Swapped around and presto. Machine still working great and that some years ago now.
Question has the board been disturbed or the wiring interfered with by anyone else? 💡

Trevor Cornish, Tableside Sales and Marketing. Thats a blast from the past. He sold out the distribution form Toshiba microwaves and then took on Ocean here in the UK. He blamed his demise on the fact that hist biggest customer was Norweb.
When they sold out his business did too.

wouldnt of thought these parts were still available. I have had a set of belts, wash pump, relay on hand for years in fact I have a set of clutch shoes still marked up GEC Hotpoint must go back to mid 80’s. Would love to get my hands dirty on one of these. Last gearbox I did was about 10 years ago.

    Re: HPT CTD80P

as per pre mail, I visited one of these it had just a white spot cut out and the thermistor. The thermistor in appearence looked identical to the cycling stat.
I have spoken to others who have experienced the same having fitted the two out of the three parts to the kit.
Is it possible you changed the two and retained the new thermistor.
i.e thats the cutout wspot and cycling stat in place of the thermistor due to appearence?
If this is the case it will not perform and shows a fault after a few minutes.

If this is correct replace the thermistor with the fitted stat and all should be well???
I know what I mean hope it makes sense :rolls:

Does sound like you have substituted the original NTC with a cycling stat.
Later versions have all three fitted L-R w/spot toc – cycling stat – NTC

    Re: keeping appliance

Ive had a few near misses when you think its safe to dump an appliance. Hey presto up comes the customer, they can sense when its gone. Even when youve chased them to collect working or not.
Ive never had to cough up with a new appliance but had a couple of close scrapes, when Ive got carried away with clearing out. 😳

    Re: hotpoint td ctd80

The last time I looked at one of these, it had a thermistor and a white spot cut out. Partfinder showed the element with a cut out toc, cycling stat and a thermistor.
When I returned (the cut out had gone oc due to the condensor being blocked as was the filter), it had only a thermistor and a cutout.
The thermistor looked very similar to the cycling stat (button type) it would have been easy to remove the thermistor and fit the cycling stat by mistake. They look identical, the new thermistors are different in appearence now.
If I had changed that by mistake it would have gone oc and the machine would have expected a resistance reading, thus throwing a thermistor fault.
As I said just a thought but its easy to do I am sure.

Ive had issues when Qualtex spareslink found it only shows retail and not cost, it appears as the price you pay.
Rest assured when Ive placed any order, collected from counter, it has been at the corrcet price. It wasnt a Con, nect situation. :rolls:

Re: Indesit Domed Torx Pulley Bolts

Indesit have a T40 bit which is extra tough and an adaptor for fitting the bits onto a 3/4 ratchet.
An ordinary torx bit will simply break up if trying to shift these bolts.
perhaps one of the indesit engineers will provide the numbers for these two parts.
I purchased them some years ago through Indesit trade spares without any problem, but they werent cheap by any means.
Sorry cant find the part numbers.
