    Re: Schreiber APM6325 problem

The thermostat knob is in the top centre of the appliance about the size of a five pence piece. If you can give me its serial number I can look out some more info for you.

    Re: Zanussi Fridge-Freezer Fault

Working upon what you have described I would suggest you have a problem with the defrost heater. Either this is duff or you have a problem with the defrost timer which is not supplying the power to the heater.

Re: Blomberg CFFN 311 Freezer fan motor replacement.

You can use the freezer but as it normally operates by convection of the cold air you will find that the freezer never gets down to correct temperature as you are now dependent on conduction.
If I remember correctly this motor is held in place by the back cover, what you need to do is remove the fan from the front with the back cover in place and then take out the motor. Refitting of the motor and fan is the reverse.
Post up the pictures and we’ll try and help

    Unplug before you start

Many thanks for the invite – forget ACRIB at this point they are just a register of fridge engineers not the mouthpiece. I’ll be tackling the Institute of Refrigeration in the New Year and with you support put forward the points of view of the WTA with regard to the domestic appliance fridge area.

Re: BEKO WMA 10W TIMER FAULT

Before you do anything – check this, once you have set the timer to the required program and switched on, the timer then locks the selected program in memory. The knob then rotates around to the end of that part of the cycle ie wash. This is quite normal. If however you have got it continuously circulating then you have got a problem. :rolls:

Try a company called EMW in Mansfield they specialise in repairing these boards but are usually happy to send you one up front on the understanding that you send your duff one to them. If you give them your full model number and serial number too they will help you out. Telephone number 0115 964 2118 or website emwelec.co.uk

    Re: Beko

Another little snippet, I’ve been told that Beko are leaning quite heavily on Domestic and General to only pass out the extended warranty work to their network of approved engineers. Looks like a little bit more is being nibbled away from their network. Mind you being cynical it should give us a better chance of getting the famous award 😆

Unplug – then if fitted remove the 2 x 7mm extra long coach bolts and then with a 15 torx screwdriver remove the two other screws. 😉

You will be very lucky to get this as Bernstein went bust some years ago Other than generic parts most items are unavailable. You could try going back to the retailer and see what they can do for you.
