Continuous flashing indicates a fault with the NTC. Click on shop@, I’m sure you’ll find it in there.

    Thanks for that Chris.
Any idea why it would take 3 to 4 hours to do a wash? I had though it might be heat related.

    Thanks

Continually pumping would indicate a leak into the base. Error code 2.
The start light should be flashing, count the flashes and compare to the known error codes for Whirlpool.

Have you checked the Whirlpool website for a user manual?
You’ll need the 12 nc for this though.

Check for a flooded base. It’s the most likely cause.

If it’s way out of spec then the fault will be detected before it starts washing.
With a lot of ntc faults you can’t run the diagnostics until it’s been changed.

Short of switching it off for a few days and keeping the room warm it would need to be a strip down job to remove the tubing from the door to defrost it.

Re: Whirpool S20BRWW20/A/G Fridge not cold

Either the motorised baffle ( which if it’s frozen in the closed position should give an error “d” on the fridge display ), port on left hand side of middle drawer in fridge is blocked with ice, fan in the freezer not running or evaporator is iced up with drain hole possibly blocked with ice.

Possible faults are the NTC or the pcb. Heater failure should give an error code.

Expensive for parts so I’d suggest clicking on the repairs@ link to find an engineer near you to diagnose properly

Spot on advice lads, it was the switch. Found one of the leafs had jumped out of place. Put it back in place, everything worked as it should. Checked a week later and it’s still fine.
Thanks to all for the help.

Finally traced the problem to a broken plastic part between the push button (start) and the pcb mounted in the facia.
Anyone know the part number for this part or is it part of the facia?

    Thanks

    Thanks for that Kevin.
    It’s finally been sorted.
Engineer was here for 6 hours, seems 1st guy caused more problems than he cured.
3 lots of nitrogen through the system, 2 filters and 2 regasses later it’s working away fine.

Re: Whirlpool ff S20DRSS33 water dispenser

There’s a coil of plastic tubing behind the drawers in the fridge, no panel covering it. It can be frozen there although I’ve come across the pipe running up the inside of the freezer door being frozen. There’s a connection behind the plinth that can be split and you can check if there’s water getting to that point. If there is, it’s frozen in the door, if not it’s either frozen in the fridge or the inlet valve isn’t opening.

The juddering is normally the rear board. The service code indicates you have the later electronics, post the serial number to be sure.

    don’t know.

    Might be.

    No Idea

Check to see if the compressor and compressor fan are running. If they are and there is no cooling at all then you may have a system fault along with the electronics fault.

My own F/F threw it’s hand in last weekend. However it appears that the problem with mine is a system fault along with a front board fault. I’ve got both boards and a compressor coming on Friday, along with another engineer in case it needs the compressor and regassing.

Best bet for you is to get an engineer in to diagnose the problem. The lads from here aren’t rip off merchants and do a great job. It could actually save you money in the long run. Click on the repairs@ on the left to find an engineer in your area.

Update. My one has a hole in the evaporator. One of the back panel screws has been tight against it and has, over the years, rubbed a hole in it.
Now awaiting arrival of another part.
