Re: Bauknecht dishwasher – F4 and “tap closed” lig

    Hiya,
It’s a Whirlpool and from memory F6 means it’s not receiving water quick enough or it’s not getting the pulses from the flow meter, hence the reason it thinks the water tap is closed. If the water hose has the aquastop, try changing it for a normal hose. The other thing that used to bring this up is the pressure switch but you normally get water coming in before it throws up the error.
    Hope the email helps.

Ta for that. The bottom condenser is spotless and the ducting has all been cleaned out. I’ll take a pcb with me on the next visit and see what happens.

Re: IKEA Whirlpool DWF 413W won’t drain

    Hiya,
I’d guess that the drain hose is blocked or the pump isn’t running.
Check for a blockage in the drain hose, check operation of the pump and if these are both ok check for broken wires in the door.
Hope this is of some help to you.

Re: Whirlpool Fridge Freezer ART700 throwing house RCD trip

The reason I asked about the element being disconnected is I seem to remember a multi plug on these units and these contained the wiring to one or two thermistor/sensors that clip onto the evaperator. If it is a multi plug it would be worthwhile doing an insulation check on the element and the thermistor/sensors. Unfortunately I don’t have the manual at hand so I’m going by hazy memories of working on these things.

Don’t forget to pull the plug before working on anything. 😳

    Hiya,
    Funkyboogy got it.
It’s a fault with the NTC. Continuous flashing is most likely a single flash, indicating fault code F1, this being an NTC fault.

Yes it can be replaced without a regas. Take care not to burst/crack any of the pipework. You’ll also need a supply of sticking plasters for your fingers.
When you unplugged the heater was this the only component being unplugged?
Remember to turn the power off before doing anything.
    Good luck.

Re: Diplomat ADP8332 – FA fault

    Hiya,
The water indicator is only one possibility. Take the filter out and clean everything insight. Check that the base isn’t flooded. If neither of these works for you then I’d suggest an engineer.
“FA. OWI failure. Dirty OWI lens. OWI defect or control board defect. Check cabling”.
As you can see from the above it could be cabling or even the main board faulty.
    Hope this helps.

F4. Draining failure. Drain pump, control board OWI or water indicator defect.

Sounds like a single flash being repeated. Error code F1 which is a fault with the NTC. Please remember, the fault codes are only a guide to the fault. You could end up fitting parts that aren’t required. Always the best bet, get an engineer in and he’ll be able to sort it out for you.

Be careful smashing the fan off as you can easily bend the motor shaft, this results in a very noisy machine.

The main module is at the rear of the machine and the user module is the complete panel on the freezer door.
If the date code for the machine is prior to week 33 03 then you must replace both modules as the older user module is incompatible with the new main modules.
