    Re: Hotpoint hardware key

thats as good as it gets. test prog is useful though if a bit erratic, ie rushing through the heat test in 10 seconds flat but running a 10 minute (or whatever I would have given up way before then) spin test. who knows what the serial plug does….or the mysterious second button.
to configure the cards you need the smart card reader and appropriate smart card. Why they couldnt make one device do both is a mystery….no it isnt, of course it means we have to by essentialy the same thing twice.

yep, I did the same thing years ago. the old adaptor will be stuck in the old pump, its a top hat kind of thing. there is a part number for it somewhere.

Jim that has to be a foreign object!
front plate off and find the evidence mate.

You know the lifters are easily removed to get access as well, no need to look through the holes in the drum, its in the user instrcution book.

E 4 is a configuration error where it has accidently been switched into a test routine. Power off may fix it.

    Re: Debor Glue

In my experience, all of it ends up on your hands and the joint you have just applied it to is completely clean of the stuff. Not used it for years. The quality deteriorated a few years back as it started to come out of the tube in an oily mess as if it has seperated in the tube. Not missed!
Had a tube fall across the live terminals of a mains filter once…..the scene of a mini napalm attack in the customers kitchen will never be forgoten.

Re: neff earth wire 2 element versus 3 ….please help

either way it will be ok, as the new element (sounds like its not a genuine part then?) had a earth tag you may have well used it. The important thing is not leaving a dangling earth wire that may either short out or get caught up in the fan.

sure its not a faulty water softner in the house? had a few lately when you get a spurt of water initially (like when you are testing for pressure at the stopcock) which then dwindles to nothing after a few seconds.
