Ken, what makes you think most of us are not doing as you describe?

In HTM here will be no shopping around if they cut off access to their site. I spend half my evenings shopping around thanks, don’t want to spend half my day doing it as well by having to phone them.
Connect prices have moved downwards massively this year and are now back to being a viable option as their stock holding is good- pains me to say it but its true. Think they have realised their trade supply has fallen off and have taken steps to remedy it.
Everything is ordered after checking all and more of the sites Ken has mentioned + the manufacturer involved. There are other things to take into consideration such as how well they deal with faulty returns and reliability of delivery service.

opps, sorry, very late reply. must come on here more often.
Had tons of hassles, including loosing my divert service for a period, which is essential for me, bills in someones elses name, loads of letters regarding directory entries, odd letters saying I have a new user (!?) on my account……
Having said that, its all gone quiet from CBS, bills are now in my name and are a lot cheaper than before…. not certain if I still own my phone number or not though.

    I’ll try again…

wouldn’t worry about it, your not missing much!
they lost my trade, after 30 years with them, a few years ago when they cut my access to their site for lack of use. True, I didn’t use them that much, but they were on my regular list for checking prices and stock and if they had the part at the right prices they would have got the order. Since they shut the shop door in my face they don’t get anything- yet still spam me with email “special offers”

bloody time consuming no profit job! yes, Front does come off.
check tub very carefully on delivery. I got right to the end of one of these and found one of the studs for the front weight had been snapped off… not happy.

Re: Bosch WAS doorseal clamp bands

seems the ones that come in box’s have a screw clamp supplied while the ones in bags have a spring band just as tight as the original. Several differing part numbers for what looks like the same seal.

    is the grill working? fan?

Beware if ordering new power pcb, there are 2 types and the serial numbers are not reliable to ID. IIRC one has black relay’s while the other is white. Might be able to help you out with a cheap new board if it is one of them as I think I have, cannot remember which at the moment but will look for it.

good call, may be in SHOW mode, do the words “sho” on the clock?
If so consult the instruction book to turn off show mode (too complicated to explain here).

kind of twist it around its mounting point and pull at the same time, difficult to explain, quite easy to do once you know how.

did you solve this Toni? I have a similar fault on a similar model…. Had to sit and watch it through a complete wash in the end. did wash/heat fine and 1 rinse fine and on the final rinse it did not fill with enough water to activate the heater (think there is a heater pressure switch built in to those heat pumps). although the wash pump was running. Cannot understand why it is not filling with enough water and why there is no error code given that these things flag up even the slightest slow or not fill errors.

tipping back is not the best solution for this problem….. best get the front off and take a look.

possibly overfilling? once the wash pump starts up you cannot here the water still coming in. Poss overfilling until safety level is reached after around 3 minuets? Usually pcb fault if so.
