    Re: repair manual

Many manufacturers now supply microprocessor controlled
machines which throw up an error code or flash the panel lights when a fault develops.

The manufacturers have jealously guarded the meaning of their error codes, steadfastly refusing to disclose the vital information because it forces their customers to employ their services to rectify the fault.

This highly restrictive practice is employed in order to ringfence their profits and places you at an extreme disadvantage.

Over the past 2 years, with our extensive contacts throughout the white goods industry, we have researched, cross referenced, and exchanged information in order to compile the most comprehensive list of washing machine service codes covering all major appliances from AEG to Zanussi. We have now included this information as a valuable tool within our troubleshooting routines.

Once you have the codes for your machine you will gain the upper hand. Instead of being forced to call in a service engineer to translate the code (and pay through the nose for the privilege) you will be able to turn the tables and use the code to fast track the diagnosis and repair of your own machine!

    Bearing removal 😆

Welcome to the world of Haier! This is the fancy stainless steel jobby. long and short of it is flooded base. Drain off the water (plastic access panels behind bottom of door) and maybe you will see where it as come from, most likey not. recall in a few months. Maybe want to let the circ pump windings dry out before trying.

Fasetester, no one can answer your question, you need to visit the machine first. It will then be obvious where the click is coming from.

Would have thought Qualtex, of all companies, would learn from the mistakes of Parts centre/ Wash vac. I, along with many others, gave up on using them when their new fantastical web odrering system superceeded the Euroealm system which Qualtex took on to use to great effect.

Take the door panel off, you will see a drain pipe from the fan behind the vent to the soap dispenser. This will be blocked. You might also want to check the shutters on the fan motor are closing as if sticking open it lets all the gungey water into the fan which will block the hose again.

could be the circ pump overheating and cutting out. Often due to glass in the impellor. need to hook up a meter to the circ pump plug to check if its getting a feed.

Its a smeg dave, defies logic. Has the pressure switch released? Sure there is a tech memo on the smeg disc somewhere. This one also suffered from locking out like that if more than 2 pre rinse programmes were done before a main wash.

seems my rep hadn’t bothered to set up my password on the system, they are looking into it now.
Not only that but the .net wotsit has upset my pc’s initial and from standby log in which, being the only user is not what I wanted. All sorted now but its a bit much for a company after our business to expect us to have all this hassle.
