Thanks Bryan, would still like to hear from anyone with in the field experience of one of these. The sales bumpf talks about silent washes but with the drum hitting the back continuously then that is far from the truth!

173651 is the temp limiter but the one on the bracket with the resistor is a fan initial cut in and part number 069170

cannot tell from the exploded which is nearer the front.

heard this from a reliable source in the past but not once has it ever worked for me! tried weeks in freezer and using freeze it spray with no luck on any type of toc at all.

Machine is upstairs in a cupboard. :rolls: I just about managed to pull it out far enough to tip it back and have a look underneath, motor/brushes look fine. Needs a couple of doors removing to get full access.

    Jim.

could have done a reach around and tug the heater wires off then.

Even though (the machine was in the new house when they moved in) they have never used the dryer from new.

think you will find the drier on this machine is energised for a short while during the spin cycle. Maybe just to keep everything from siezing up.

ceramic resistor is not likly to short to earth. How about that toc device next to the fan motor? and what about the cooling fan motor itself?

    Re: Bosch dishwasher SGS43A12GB/27

heard back from this customer today, as I advised her, she re called Bosch who have since re attended, fitted the correct pcb, correctly coded to 27 and all is working well. Paid me for the heater but not the hours spent flaffing around!
warning then to anyone attending a Bosch/ neff dishwasher. If it has a round sticker with an R on it on the door side and it has a wierd fault, first check for correct coding and then check for correct module (not so easy).
