How do you get your email Martin? internet mail straight off your domain or a email program such as outlook or tbird?
Looks like this function may only work on a email program.

    cheers ally

assuming thats the normal range cooker with a gas hob, the hob comes apart easily in sections of each pair of burners. and it is possible to reach down from above and get to the fan element mounts and wires. not easy but have done so in cases where its impossible to remove the range.

sounds like you have covered all the bases there, if it has an alternating valve, check there is no earth leak there (yes I know its all plastic but they can leak to water). If not I reckon its the pcb and a fault QER cannot pick up on.

if you mean third light from the left on and end light flashing then its listed as the ntc disonnected. Needless to say it never is simply disconnected or even failed, IME. check the top arm is not blocked as it needs this one spinning to read the correct temperature. NTC is in the door, screwed next to the dispenser.

    2 alternatives for that one
811730304 for December 2004 onwards or
811730278 before that, you may need to change the thermostat as well on the very early types.

    Re: miele w864 heater

prise off or cut the retaining clips (you get new ones with the heater), bend the tabs of the drip cover so that will pull off, then gently work the rubber out from the tub with the aid of a slotted screwdriver. Make a note of how much heater is in the tub before removing it as its not always obvious when re fitting and the ntc (if fitted) may well hit the element if you dont get it right. Also there is a metal clip between the element forks which needs to be fitted in the correct position as well. A bitof metal tube/pipe that fits over the heater terminals can be used to knock home the new retaining clips, I use the old hotpoint belt fitting tool (the useless one) which fits perfect. These heaters always seem to be held in by a wing and a prayer but never had one come loose or even leak yet.

    Re: Card Terminals

so many ask me what am I going to do when they “phase out cheques”. I politley say that I have taken cards for over 10 years anyway, had a mobile terminal for 5+ years and that they are not going to phase out cheques anytime soon anyway! Somehow they are surprised that I have the techonogy, as Martin said. All this conversation is of course going on while hubby searches the house for his goddamn cheque book!

I listened to that on the day and thought it good advice (re the 60c+ washing anyway}.
Do wonder sometimes, are we at risk of catching something from working on washing machines?
