ModeratorRe: What’s that tune?
this reminds me of when chip and pin was being launched and there were lots of tv adverts getting us the public ready for it a few years back now. The “music” (actualy more of a noise as it was only the intro) was driving me nuts as I knew it so well but just couldnt place where, Cds were played and skipped through for hours trying to find it as I knew for a fact that I had this piece of music somewhere.
In the end I had to dial the chip and pin helpline and I guess it was a break for the telephonist to be answering something other than mundane “what if I forget my pin number?” type questions. but she eventualy came back to me with the reply and as soon as she said it I felt such a fool as it was from one of my most played cd’s at the time.
just incase anyone is interested it was “A long day ” (the intro to “Soldier Girl”the alt version on some of the albums or just the last track on others) by the Polyphonic Spree from the “begining stages of” album. It seems the Spree dont really have to work these days as another track from that same album has been played to death in Sainsbury adverts for the last 3 years. (“light and day, reach for the sun” you WILL instantly know it when heard!)eastlmark
ModeratorRe: Whirlpool built APDW/2 Circ Pump ?
sounds like the pump is shot, the new one may be a conversion to a more normal capacitor start type. If it is a Whirlpool it will have a service number on the rating plate starts with 85……..

ModeratorRe: When did the ISE10 become obsolete?
Think the wording on the site could be better. “Oboslete” will no go down well with exisitng owners as it conjours up images of parts being unavailable (especialy if they then click on the “info” link.)
Maybe just superceeded for a new model would be a better way of putting it.
Whatever, all my exisitng stock has now gone and I am getting enquiries from everywhere, wish I had a few stashed away! I notice even the ones on Ebay have gone now too.eastlmark

ModeratorRe: Bosch WTA4007GB/04 Drier – rear bearing
That one does not have jockey pulleys. although it is shown on the parts exploded, if you were to click on it they are shown as not included in this appliance.
Mick, walk away now! its an absolute b’stard!
beware there is a sprung earthing pin in the the drum shaft that will ping out as soon as its released. make sure you findt it. the bearing itself is a roller type, not usually a problem part….
