    Re: Washing machine height

what you also have to be careful is how level is your floor. Make sure you check your height in all 4 corners. would not be the first time I have has 0.5cm or more difference left to right or front to back

    Re: Qualtex Account Closure

maybe they are going back to where they came from. I used to buy from a local firm called ESL and they used to source from Qualtex.
ESL no longer exists and the rumour went round that Qualtex helped its demise through pricing structures but they also found after they went into liquidation that one of their most trusted staff had been stealing money. Since the firm was shut overnight with no warning the member of staff in question had no time to cover up

The other main Qualtex supplier to go was Anderson of Derby athough they seem to have started again in a smaller way last time I looked

closest model I can find is
    ZCV662MNC

am assuming your customer read it wrong

from what I can see the fan is linked to the clock. so I assume you must have to set the clock each time. when the unit get hot the fan stat closes so the fan will run on after switch off

have pm’ed you a few bits

Yes I have seen £5000 banded about

its false economy in the end I cannot understand it

if you go self employed and start your own business you will not be able to get an account with Qualtex. So while other suppliers loose a few gain a few Qualtex can only loose over time. Its much harder to get the business later. Also they seem to have let at least one rep go so who is going to get that business.

    not sure what you mean

any thermostat that is made to operate a cooling fan is open circuit and closes to operate the fan
a TOC (thermal overload cut out) is meant to switch the oven off if it gets too hot therefore it is closed circuit till it get hot and opens

    try telling us the problem

there is not much it can be rings or board and connect want 102+vat for the board. the only longshot you have is to look for blown caps

    Re: Samsung American Fridge Freezer

even though they are supposed to be frost free it is not always true. a more likely description should be frost resistant

always first with these units is complete defrost. power off, doors open for about 2 days
then turn back on and see from there, the noise can be a fan rubbing on ice

Re: John Lewis JLWM 1407 not rotating

its very likely your are identical to the picture. brushes are held on by small screws with a hexagon top. if you have any mechanical skill its not difficult

    very likely your brushes are
    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/car99-c … on-brushes

but to be certain you will have to remove one to compare against the picture. be careful not to drop the screws in the motor and if you do make sure you find it

you could email the site shop and send them a picture of the motor rear if you want to be certain

Re: John Lewis JLWM 1407 not rotating

at the rear of the motor you will find 2 brush holders (see picture)

as a quick test. unplug machine and tilt it back so you can see underneath. tap each brushholder firmly with a screwdriver. put the machine down plug in and try it

if it works you know you need to change the brushes
if it does not you may well still need new brushes but you will have to remave them to check
