ModeratorI would get a multi meter and measure the valve coils. if one has failed the machine would fail to fill and that would give you a tap icon
coils should be 3000 to 5000 ohms approx

Moderatorif you want Better bearing you could always find a local bearing supplier and get 6206 and 6207 bearing but you still need the seal which is special to this range of washing machines . if it is a 30mm shaft it uses smaller bearing and another seal
the gen kit does use a rubber shrouded bearing but i dint think there is a weep hole in the rear drum half so it makes no rael difference
as said before check your spider first and if you go ahead pay careful attention to the wiring harness as they rub on the concrete weights if badly routedDave

Moderatoryou could fit the gen set which might be

if the shaft is 35mm
some units used a 30mm shaft and there is no easy way to tell although the 30mm often had plastic pulleys
also due to spider corrosion its advisable to strip the unit and check the spider first

Moderatorif the screw comes loose after you tighten it there must be a problem there. if it was tight it would not loosen which leads me to think corrosion may be a problem due to age

get a torch inside the drum and look through the holes and around the door aperture to see if you can see it
after that the 2 ways on are
1 the sump hose
2 the heater (can be a pig to out and back in)Dave

Is it a simple case of replacing the board with a like for like?
.wish it was that simple
boards dont blow for no reason, another component in the machine has popped it. the chances are if you replace the board it will destroy that tooto post pics , host pics on another site like google pics and post a public link
