phil the faults happening will have been down to the ubend being completely gunked up, i cant think of anything other than that being the sole reason for dw not to start a wash…

Re: candy cds120 semi int d/w 2006??? no worky

ok still no joy with new p/s…

module looks fine, and very basic, cant see why that would fail, elements ok, pumps alright, circ motor seems ok.

completely baffled with this now !?!

any other ideas before i condemn this poorly built badly specced piece of tin to scrapyard in the sky ?

PS does anyone have a module part no for it so i can quote a price to cust…

ALSO one last thing, it seems to hesitate for 10 seconds before flashing the top led, on the last programme and the first 3, the other lowerr 4 progs it flashes a failure instantly… ???

    Re: DC15 no brushbar rotation

not had any module faults yet but plenty of loom failures on 15s.. cheap part tho, you need the “yoke” loom and it fractures in the grommit where it passes between the body mouldings and for future references, on 24’s b/r motors tend to burn out. note replacement motors have a shaft attatched to the tri-swirl catch, so you need to order the updated brushbar too for a 24.

thats too common martin, we get one of those at least every month… :I

martin, in the strictest terms, yes, but just like with hotpoints 5 year parts cover, if usual business is quiet, they will use discretion, best to take £168 for an hours work, less parts that at cost to them is no more than about £50, and get £100 quid in to cover some of your engineers day than pay the engineers to twiddle thumbs or drink tea and eat cafe food… 🙂

    Re: Bosch dishwasher noise

the term last for 20 years is generally considered as the lifespan of the machine, this doesnt mean it would be 20 trouble free years… its based more on how long parts are available for. £14 a month is £168. dont think they will let you cancel it after 1 month, as i think its for a 12mth contract. but as you said its still cheaper than £140 for a motor plus bosch callout… thats fine as long as its not a 24mth contract 😉

Sounds like youve finally knackered the pump…

g7rgg wrote:Just as I was getting ready to call the supplier and tell them I was going to court, we tried the machine and it worked.

on a side note, good luck if you had gone down that route. no manufacturer/retailer will warranty a machine if the fault is down to “pilot error” i.e you putting something into the machine, be it inadvertantly or intentionally, that is not intended to be in there. pumps will get blocked be it after 6 months, 2 months or 3 years. thats why you have a filter to access the pump and clear obstructions. just like when you buy a car, you can get a puncture in less than a mile down the road, thats bad luck, its not cos you have a faulty car!

yes. very easy if it has the spring type and screw type retaining rings, rather than the nasty click click retaining rings…

looks like a hoover… btw the start/pause “touch control” on these tends to not respond to quick delicate touches, they need to be pushed firmly for about a full second before it recognises it. plus the plastic button bank flexes very easily behind the fascia, and therefore doesnt actually seem to make contact with module switch

does it do this on the timed drying function, or just sensordrying? if its just the latter sounds like theres not enough humidity being generated to continue the cycle…

Re: Zanussi ZWF1440W in a spin

my hunch is its loose wiring in the loom to the pcb. u need to crimp up all the terminals, zanussi wiring doesnt have a lot of freedom nto move, and changing the brushes might have been enough to wiggle the connection to sit properly. or alternatively, with the motor being replaced already, it could be the motor to loom joint, crimp this too

i agonised over a 1650 few months ago which would intermittantly work, and turns out thats what was the cause. it was coming up with e32 and e31 errors.

sounds like an awkward customer tho, conditioner not going into the drum tends to be soap powder overspilling in the draw into the conditioner one and clogging the syphoning system. bet she has dbl concentrate conditioner too…

Re: hotpoint bd32 cooker fan not working

slyp check the user manual, theres normally at least 3 spare model nos supplied with these ovens, i always stick on on the manual front/iside cover when we install one, and an additional one to the rear if spare. also see if cust still has the guarantee card as some came with teh labels pre-stuck to them too. hp usually have a large 2×3″ label on rear of there cookers too, with wattage and voltage specs, good chance on this too ??? if your really stuck take a pic on your phone of the fascia panel as iirc they changed the knobs, and timer, bd32 had solid knobs, 5/6 button timer, bd32mk1 had push knobs and 5/6 buttom timer and mk2 had 3 button clock and push knobs
