    bit like me i suppose.

in fairness on reading that, it doesnt look too tactful, but i do think that text can be read in a variety of different ways

but surely to come on here and post that message in that manner was unnesecary?

personally, if id have been called to that machine, id have made damn sure of the fault, not just cutting the plug off, and condemning it (especially since beko machines get a bit of condensation in the thermostat housing), but, in any eventuality, it should trip the main supply.

im pretty sure theres an earth problem, be that with the plug on the machine, or on the socket.. and the ‘beko’ recommended engineer was duty bound to clarify that.

my question would be to any engineer.. would you feel fine to leave that job, without at least determining that there was a suitable earth at the socket outlet?

i hope i know the answer

oh, and bein a lancashire lad aint all bad, is it?

    lol

Re: Beko TLA6018S outer skin live (240 volts)

now thats probably the most ridiculous post ive seen in a long time

if the cabinet is live, then it should have gone down to earth, and blown the fuse/tripped the electrics

secondly.. how have wires enclosed in foam managed to damage themselves enough to catch the cabinet

all machines will kill if there isnt a suitable earth! id be checking my sockets/ plug from the appliance

something doesnt run true with the prognosis

oh, and your 7-day return of goods statement?
yep, if u take it back, unopened and unused

further to that, you have to have a service call to establish fault

if its faulty, yes, it can be exchanged… if it aint

    well, u’ll be charged

and before u start quoting things, i work for comet.. what im saying is fact, just be carefull how you approach the engineer

Re: Hoover FR HNMF 3906 AT Refridgerator

    you gotta be kidding, right?

yep, theres a big issue with them things leaking, and there isnt a cure, only to not put water in it (yep, thats the only way it wont leak!)

hoover have modified the nozzle 3 times now, each being worse than the last

the only hope youve got is to take the nozzle off, and stretch the spring that clamps the rubber hose (yep thats all that holds a few litres of water)
that makes it a tighter fit, and sometimes they stop, sometimes it stops it from working at all ( but at least it doesnt leak – and that came from hoover!)

    sorry to post bad news

Re: Hoover TV20 Not Heating up

    is the filter light on?

cos if it is, its the thermal overload, which, contrary to other posts, means the thermostat has failed

complete heater unit, with both on would be recommended

and do unplug it, theyre live permanantly and it does get quite nasty if u forget to unplug!!

    hope this helps
