hi, the filter will only block, as helo says, if you are washing something that is causing it to block, bath mats, dog stuff, thats the usual cause, nothing to do with the machine, and no modifications available either,

Just a little tip, if the pulley is plastic it is likely to be a 30mm bearing, 35mm usually have metal pulleys, can save you time if you strip one down only to find you dont have the bearings to fit,

yep same kit, if you fit the seals kit you can get away with 2 washers at back, if the gap is still too big check the cabinet is all square

if it thinks the pump/sump is blocked it will add a rinse to try to clear, last one i had caught me out, i tried it empty & drained fine but still jumped the time up, changed pressure switch in end to cure it

    Re: Hotpoint FFA70 compressor

was it the engineer who fitted the compressor that came back?, as it sounds odd, 30hrs should not have hurt the compressor, and the water noises you are getting are caused by low gas levels

    Re: Hotpoint WD420 – T/Dry heat

hi, i would be checking the module plugs down the back, water can sometimes come out through the vent hole on top of dryer box, runs down side of drum & drips onto module plugs, often find the plugs burnt there, can cause intermittent tripping,

the trigger board supplys the element when the stat tells it too, so if the element comes on without the stat needing it, it will be a faulty relay on the trigger board

ok when you say there is not much left of the brushes what does that mean?, they should spring out past the holders, if they are level then that may well be your only problem

would agree with helo here, ‘water gurgling’ noises usually means low gas levels,
