hi not sure what you mean by a 2.3amp cable, if its really 2.3amp then it will melt in seconds!!!, presume you mean 2.5mm cable?, the cable would cope but one FCU doing both machines would melt very soon, dont put them both on one unit!

the drum is too tight for what?, when fitted the shaft should turn the inner bearing collar, if it was loose there would be play in the drum, i usually put a bit of lubricating spray on the shaft before it goes through bearings

Hi, not good news im afraid, 1st & 4th light= F-09, set-up error, its a problem with the software on the main module, will need to be either re-programmed or, quite possibly, a new module fitted, either way wont be cheap, £99 for hotpoint to come & fix is about your only option

or, if no hairdryer to hand, run on high heat for 10 mins with earth disconnected, (you can put a test meter between removed earth & an earthed point to see when the voltage drops to a safe level)

my only advice on these is to stay well clear, had one that kept turning itself on & heating at night, had all parts changes, modules x2 timers & other bits, but still it kept doing it, think it was exchanged in the end, same customer also had an induction hob that had erratic electronic faults, that was exchanged but the new one did just the same, sometimes wonder if it could be a customers supply issue

Hi, if any of you are after a decent van, i have a 2006 Transit, it has the stronger 110 engine, cheap tax due to low emissions, still under ford 3 year warranty, 30,200 miles only, ply lined & racked/boxed out, sign written all that would be needed is to unpeel my name/number & put yours on, or writing can be taken off, Got it up for £8.5k +vat, if its to anyone on here then ill take £7.5k + vat,

hi, your machine would not be classed as ‘beyond economical repair’ for the pump & module, probably the call centre’s way of ‘persuading’ you to take out the extended policy, however, if it cant be repaired, you should be able to reclaim the £99.50,
Not really sure why you would need the module though (unless the wet motor took it out, but thats highly unlikely),
You should find that when engineer comes it will be a reasonably straight forward job of fitting the pump/motor, 30 mins & your back in action

Re: Yet another gripe at connect.

there seems to be no rule for the prices, the door seal to me at connect was the most expensive here at £10.38 for 2+ or £14 for 1, but the module is cheaper than petalpop’s at £18.30
