The reason I think Hoover has gone done this route is to drum up more business as the machine has a link when connected to wifi to the call centre to alert them if there is a problem with the appliance so they can get more work this way, they are now also programming the new machines via a app on the phone

ModeratorRe: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers
Registered my dryer over 14 months ago have had no communication over modification with manufacturer so contacted them and said they could get it done in march I said it had to be a Saturday as I’ve waited so long tried to fob me off saying engineers don’t work Saturdays I know they do they have to do 1 a month as I know service manager in my area so time will only tell when they will call will update when mod has been done.

Email the spares shop on the website with the 31 number inside the door and they will find the correct brushes for you

Just spoke to the Hoover engineer and the top modules are giving problems so ignore the door lock and motor kai

Put the machine through a self test mode to see if there are any errors hold the top left option button in and turn main dial 2 clicks to the right until all leds are light hold for a few seconds release and press all option buttons then the start button . Is this fault only happening on 1 programme? If so either door lock or motor would be the next to check kai

What’s the insulation reading like and did you use a genuine heater the short type. They are having issues with the heaters that cause random faults there are 3 different elements listed on connect and they are the long type kai

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint WF860P Drum not turning.
By the sound of what you are trying say you have no motor action on machine 2 things to check wiring both ends of the motor if all is ok the the pcb module will be faulty and need replacing this is in the back left hand corner

ModeratorRe: Indesit WIDL 126
You will need to use a megga to find the problem 3 main suspects are motor heating element and the mains lead itself kai
