its running really slow for me too. after clicking “post a reply” this page took over 45 seconds to load. navigating around is taking forever. all other usual spares sites i use are as normal.

if all the lights are flashing it may have same fault as hotpoint boards. look for blown capacitors. full explaination is in the simple pcb repair thread at top of page

    don’t call me a cowboy but….
i carry very small stainless steel self tapping screws.
i explain to customer what i’m going to do and they all agree.
basicaly i make a minute hole in filter cover next to supply tube. then screw in screw at angle through cover and slightly into the tube. it will never ever come out again.
also check spray arm nozzels for blockages which would cause back pressure.
no parts need = cheaper job = very happy customer.

    Re: belling integrated dishwasher

    i don’t mean the pressostat.
i’m talking about the microswitch thats in the hose from the spray pump. pink wire in from pcb and pink wire out to the heater. put the pcb wire directly onto the heater and see if it heats on the cycle that otherwise isn’t. then you will know that its either the switch or as has been said too low a water level. also without fiddling with anything, you could also pour in some extra water in tub after its filled, then try it.

if you can be bothered, you could bypass the switch and try it. see what happens. after all this switch is basically an added extra over the indesit that its based on. not that i’m suggesting that you leave it bypassed.

    hi nelson
you say that the above reset worked for you. i’m just wondering how you held down the spin button when in fact it is touchsensitive.
do you continue to touch it, ie keep your finger on at all times, or did touching it once work.
i’d like to know cos i sold quite a few of these and they’ll be due carbons soon.
what part of northumberland are you in? i’m alnwick area.

from what you say about water still in the “PLASTIC TUB” i think you mean the salt reservoir which in the absence of salt it of course should still have water in it.
the best way to get help is to reset your machine as per instruction book and the run prewash cycle and then try to identify the actual fault code.
to be honest a lot of repair engineers don’t like doing dishwashers. those of us who do, don’t particularly like smeg for various reasons (although i have one).
even when you get a fault code they are quite often wrong.
you’ll save yourself a lot of grief if you find a reasonably priced and recommended repairer who will do the job for you. as an example i charge £40 plus parts subject to total cost being agreed.
this forum will suggest someone in your area.

Re: buy or repair, is it worth it !

i assume that when you tested the heater, that you tested between the actual heater tags. the reason i ask is that there is an inline pressure switch which will be open circuit while machine is not spraying. also the switch itself may be faulty.
i have repaired countless faults on these machines over the years and have only ONCE had one with an open circuit heater element.

sounds like the mains suppressor to me. a dead easy and relativly cheap repair. (don’t buy part from miele). if you don’t know what i mean then get you local guy to do job.

i don’t know if you’ve managed to cure this fault. the easiest way if you are lucky is to remove all water from thesump. then pour in a kettle of boiling water and let it stand for a bit. usually this fault is caused by a membrane switch ( black or white guaze located right side of sump under filter cover) getting blocked with grease/gunge. if youre lucky it will disolve. i have twice only had to change switch. if it doesnt work then try again and brush it with old tooth brush or similar.
you will then have to reset and try a cycle.
    hope this helps

Re: bosch wae 28467 uk strange bearing noise

i once had a queer ticking/knocking noise on a bosch. like you it only seemed to happen with belt on. after a bit of digging around i discovered that the tacho magnet was slightly loose on the armature. two spots of carefully placed superglue and the noise disappeared. mind you have to strip the armature out to do it. hold magnet with finger/thumb and see if you can turn it slightly back and forth. i cant really explain why, but it cured it.

i’d double check that there isn’t a filter on the outlet in the house outer wall. sometimes you look from inside the house and see daylight but in fact its shining through a layer of built up lint. if it works o.k. without the tube on then something to do with the tube must be the cause.
