Hmm. Thanks for that, Steve. Interesting link. One example:

Repeated calls from the Performing Rights Society, but it is not the PRS, but a revenue generating company called iResponse, acting on behalf of PRS. Very hard sales attitude and hassassment.

Message from these beggars again today . (01425)462793 this time. So sounds as if they’ve got a few lines. That’s Fordingbridge I think. Nice little town a few miles from my home town. Might pop in and see them next time I go up. Give them a piece of my mind.

One call on answerphone today, other than the dumb one from PRS 👿
“Hi, I have a BIW103W needs bearings. Can you ring me back with price to supply and fit?” Twit forgot to leave his number and according to display it’s ex-directory. :rolls: Probably would have gone for a nice new Haier anyway :rolls:

Is that the mechanical timer? Is there a little motor on the back of the timer? Maybe the coil is o/c.

Re: Zan FLE 1216W. Fitted new bearings now its bloody DEAD!!

Had similar thing on older model once after a bearing job which had been a struggle from beginning to end. Turned out I’d dislodged a connector on the module – but that was when the module was down at the back. Took a bit of poring over circuit diagram to know where to look; though I knew for sure it had been OK before.
TBH, I think you must give customer the full benefit of the doubt. It’s unlikely she would have neglected to tell you that it wasn’t powering up. And therefore, I stongly doubt that the board is faulty. How about pump plug pulled out?

Re: Bosch Washing Machine Programme fault wfo2867gb15

Suggest search using, “Bosch AND skips”. Should bring up one or two relevant threads. Most of them seem to skip around the last few minutes and this has been solved in some cases by stripping down and cleaning the motor. In your case perhaps it’s a low insulation heater. Hard water?

in reply to: Repairing a ceramic hob element. #321160

Re: Repairing a ceramic hob element.

Well, it was the element so have ordered it from Bosch. Trade was only seventy something incl. VAT and delivery and paying by card, no need for proof of trade status. 😀
Just one more question. Will ordinary draught proofing stuff do the same job as the “sealing strip” which has all rotted like foam does?

Re: Repairing a ceramic hob element.

Could well be that. Am in wonderment at your ability to find stuff. Will be going to look this afternoon. If I can get it for £82 retail from Neff, it once again shows up Connect’s pricing, but could yet be different part. (SRP £166.86.) Will post when solved.
    Mike.
Edit:- Looks like it’s 356339, out of stock at Connect and no picture. but only a few quid more expensive trade than the Neff retail 😆 .

    Re: Zanussi ZWD 12270S

Why not just safely disconnect the dryer element, tying up the terminals out of the way? Then the machine can be used perfectly well as a washer only.
Always remembering that customer’s always right of course. Guess she will have her reasons. :rolls:

Try a search of the forums. Common problem. IIRC it’s heater element related.
