You can find exploded diagrams at this site:
http://www.bshappliancecare.com/bshspares.html
Launch “e-shop” and select Neff Spare parts and find the appliance search box and tap in the e number.

After reading this thread I’ve decided to invest in fifty feet of red and white striped plastic tape; that’ll keep ’em out.

Maybe. Or maybe there are more washing machines than tumble dryers out there and more use is made of them. (A recent survey found that 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of surveys produce false results):)

Bet Madmac doesn’t have parking problems and traffic jams though.

Yes this cheaper version is described on BSH as “without aquasensor”. But I don’t know what the aquasensor is and I’m hoping that whatever it is I can swap it from the old box. Anyway it’s thundering along some road towards me from Birmingham now so I’ll just cross my fingers. 🙂

There’s competition everywhere. No escaping that. There are also sensible customers who know that what looks cheapest is not necessarily best value.

Have sent for 483657 @ £42 etc.(Connect). Looks the same as the £60+ parts to me.

The advice in the e-mail must have come from someone who’s never been at this end of the business, that’s why it is such nonsense.
Simon, why should customers who pay to have a job done subsidise those who don’t?

Slightly lateral to topic but have been thinking about Askoll drain pumps. Some have TOC’s some don’t. For a pound or two extra you can get one with a TOC. Probably worth it.

Thanks guys. I’m so glad to hear there’s jockey pulleys in there. Was anticipating knackered bearings etc. Much prefer simple jobs.

ParticipantRe: aeg 64840
Just a thought. Check for a short circuit through a water valve. Sometimes they are in series with the pump as a flood protection.
Another thing, AEG pumps seem to work even with door open IIRC.

ParticipantRe: Beko d/w DE3431FW
Got a Beko DWD4310W with same fault. Fills to what looks like correct level then stops dead. Customer said it will start filling again after a few minutes of sitting idle until it finally overfills and trips the fps. in the base.
Heater, ntc, circ mtr, pump all checked OK. Looked at board – no visible damage. Going to order board from Connect @ £12 or so (that’s more affordable than Bosch).
Cab, if you’re around, what happened with yours?

You didn’t mention that in your opener.
If motor zips into spin due to fault in tacho/wiring/control circuit it is conceivable that that could blow the trip sometimes especially with a load in.

Nah, it would never work. The customer would realise there was no drum in the machine before you got out the door. 😆

Boselecta, does this mean you pull the elements out and chuck away the box? If you get one in the next week or so please remember me!
