Looks like I’ve still got the old one. Am I missing anything? (that I wasn’t already)

Looks like there’s a relay on the module. Checked for burnt terminal?

Connect meter across it and see if it changes resistance (downwards) as you warm it.

    Re: WFO2455 (maybe)(rubbed off)-door seal with spout 11 o’ c

Many thanks Greg. I didn’t want to pull machine out if it could be avoided as the last time I did that to this particular example it took about half an hour to get it back and level again!

I dare say you’ve figured it out by now but if not you just click on the exact middle of the number on the diagram and the description and part number appear in a panel underneath which you have to scroll down to see.

in reply to: Hotpoint(Bosch) DWF31P/17 blown up triac. #252775

Re: Hotpoint(Bosch) DWF31P/17 blown up triac.

Update. Googling that triac no. suggested Z9M series was obsolete but got the probable specs for it off a posting in an elecronics forum. Looked up a triac with same specs on RS (1A 600V 10mA gate sensitivity) and found part listed as Z0109MN. The new triac arrives and it’s marked Z9M ! 😕 I’ll never get my head round the logic of these markings.
Anyway, stick new relay and triac in and back to re-fit. Soap door did not open on “quick wash” but customer reminded me that original problem had included “not drying properly” so it looks like that relay controls the heater as now heater working fine. Left him to test it out on full wash and give me a call. Would like to get that dispenser door opening sorted if anyone has any clues. During the quick wash test there was 240v to both sides of activator so it’s either the module or connections.

    Re: Really smart tumble dryers?

Just found this thread while looking for something else and, finding it interesting, got sidetracked. Wondered if anybody had had any further ideas on the subject as electricity supply is becoming a more critical issue as time marches on and it would be good if a major contribution in energy saving like this were to arise from this site.
Was it LG that brought out a dehumidifier based t/dryer?
How efficient and effective is it? Is clever dicky still working on his ideas?

    Re: Hotpoint condensor dryer problem

If it’s a new stat kit you fitted a week ago then you know the cycling stat’s OK. One other way to reset is to apply a bit of double sided foam tape on the disc then give it a sharp but gentle pull in the centre with a pair of tweezers. If the tape remains stuck to the disc just peel it away by pulling on the edge.
No way would anyone do this if there was any doubt about the cycling stat though!

Re: Teknik (not sure spelling) SE6TE2GB/50 fd:8505

    Doh!
I tried SE6TE in the BSH search and got nowhere. So I just would have had to remove one more letter.
That search facility is pretty snobby. You leave out the forward slash and it denies any knowledge of it.
    Thanks Chris.

Just got a call about one of these making a clunking noise. Checked up here first and used Alex’s link to look it up on Lux site. I was so glad to find that the manufacturers give a free 5 year guarantee on this product. :duck: Rang customer and advised her to check it out.

A few years ago I was brought round a company in Workington by a local service engineer which had some women repairing AKO control timer boards upstairs with a few test beds to run up these units and then sell as re-conditioned units to the trade but cannot remember the company name for a cheaper alternative.

    Could that be ReLectronics 01604 639792 ?
I’ve not tried them myself but Phidom told me of them couple of years ago.
