Have you had a new sealed tub apart? No. But it shouldn’t be too difficult. Probably just need to put in a bra-wire and set it to spin 😆 .

New carbons are renowned for sticking in Bosch motors. There’s a sprung thing in the holder and you have to be sure to push them all the way in to get past it. Though that wouldn’t explain all the symptoms.

I think there was always front to back movement in Zanussi/AEG models. I noted it soon after I took up this trade in 1988. I too thought it was a fault when I first noticed it but soon realised it was common. It must be about 5mm. I never checked if it affected all models. I only came across it when I was looking for bearing wear. I haven’t noticed it so much on newer ones. I think that may be because by the time there’s any suspicion of bearing wear these days, the drum’s scraping the tub :rolls: .

Got a customer with a Leisure range cooker, dual fuel. Has a 1400 or 1600w round element has gone about 3 times in five years. Just left message the other day, gone again – looked it up – still within my year’s g’tee. 😥

If the interlock has blown the board, it’s often only the neutral supply to the lock that’s blown so the machine may work again when you bridge the lock but not work if you put a new lock in. I’m sure you weren’t suggesting using this method as a permanent fix, but if it was for my own machine I’d do it rather than buy a board. (Not that I own a machine.)

Must be a clever attempt to use grey water to flush the loo. Hope it doesn’t catch on.

Had a good chuckle over that, too.
On Monday I went to a house in a tiny hamlet a couple of miles from town. Propped my bike against the side wall of my customer’s house and walked to the door. Couldn’t make myself heard due to teen’s loud music upstairs but she’d left door open obviously for me so I walked in and started work on the dishwasher.
Noticed the neighbour walked by the window and she stopped and glared at my bike for a half minute or so. She then moved it to the front of the house onto the road so that it was off her hard standing where there was room to park a bus :rolls: . You can only pity these people.

There’s a mention of it here. Maybe you could find the thread they’re talking about. Don’t forget to vote!
Just looked at diagrams on mediator. Looks like standard split tub inside standard split cabinet although with an oddly sloping front.

Wonder if it’s one of those with the dodgy green solenoid coil?

Think there’s something about Bosch and heater element in relation to this. Try a search, TTE only, e.g. “Bosch + 1 min” or Bosch + stuck”

Think Clive’s probably right but if not have a look at tacho coil and magnet.

That’s about six hours! No wonder it was using 50 litres to dry if half of that was the drying cycle. Wonder how the electricity usage compares.
