Re: The silly thing people do with plugs…

You do see some just insanity stupid things, that reminds me of a but in dishwasher a few months back where they had spayed expanding foam around the whole thing, all the pipes everything was buried I it.

The worst I remember was last year , i turned up to an insurance job on a washing machine, it was on a 4 way extension I could not reach to I went to unplug the whole lot, found it in a socket with out a switch and no isolator anywhere , so i went to unplug it and the top of the plug just came off in my hand, the whole screw through the middle was missing, the customers 15 year old son was there watching and just said ” oh yea that’s broke” I told him to go and get he mum and dad for me and I tore them to pieces, they just could not see how this was a real problem.

    Unbelievably

There is a trick on these , put a small cable tie though the holes and pull it tight this holds it in place enough for you to clamp it up with pointed pliers

I take it you’ve tried to remove it and polish all the joint’s if you do refrigeration.

I suppose they could have also sprayed all the pipework black as well and waxed and polished with turtle wax 😛

I have, and the worst is when there is a run of solder running all the way along underneath a pipe when you want to fit a lockring, when I change a pot or charge a system I always wipe off any excess lock prep from the pipes.

All I’m saying is a bit of pride don’t cost a thing

If its counting down with out engaging the door lock I’d almost certainly say its a module problem as it should not even begin with out locking the door,

What are the numbers on the sticker behind the door? These will tell us the exact version of the machine.

If its fitted the the coo254298 board fitted I’d bet its blown. Quite common that as the suspension dampers go soft the motor catches the heat sink on the module and blown it.

Would have happens at the end of the last spin most likely

How soon after starting do you
Get the water message? when the board blows it normally comes up very quickly, way before the machine would have filled if it was working as normal.
    With water

    Re: It’s Not Just Us

The issue is manufactures have been forced into reducing there prices further and further now have to look at other avenues for revenue, the profit from the sold product is no longer enough to sustain them, service & accessories is required to keep the books in the black.

I have seen a few problems with the linear pressure switch models that get stuck on pump out, only way Iv found to reset is reprogramming the module.

If there is no damage to the door latch and its just clicking even after a new lock then Its likely the board has failed

    Re: Hotpoint aquarius + (WMF760) – f11 fault

Had an f11 machine fault this week. I have not been able to tie it down to what’s caused it yet, only happen when spinning. Its posable the pump is shorting out or going OC after its been one a bit. iv ordered board and pump for it

As for yours you could try replacing the pump first but being honest I’d bet its a board issue.
