I get a couple of these on a weekly basis too, truly makes me want to strangle someone when it happens.. & i’m not a violent person 😉
So i can kinda undertand Indesits reasons, & hey, if it makes them look bad then GOOD! Their attitude matches their products..both complete sh*te!!
I wrote off a 2yr old Hotpoint last week with panel failure & i didnt mention the 5 year option & dont intent to in the future, i feel slightly guilty about it ‘cos i hate waste, but why the hell should we mention it.
I do however spend several mins telling the customer why she should never buy another Indesit group product (& a few others) as long as she lives.. i enjoy doing that you see.. 😆Madmac
ParticipantRe: Retail Downturn
I think its inevitable the white goods market has to shrink, the cosy relationship ‘tween sheds & manufacturers has squeezed the consumer as far as it can with regards to the 3 yr life dross on offer now, & i think people have had enough.
If this recession means the public take a long hard look at the wisdom of buying on credit & then scrapping, over & over again then i’m glad its happened. On a selfish level, i’m DELIGHTED i’ts happened, i havnt been so busy in YEARS!! 😯
It has to be customer led though, but if it all returns to normal in 2010 then the short collective memory of Joe public will probably just mean business as usual :rolls:Madmac

Yep they’ve reduced the VAT which we could claim back on the fuel… BUT they’ve increased the duty on fuel which we cant so we wont be any better off for the fuel costs..so yet again we get skrewed with the fuel costs.

And of course the VAT cut on Monday is only for 13 months.. the fuel duty hike is for keeps.. :rolls:

Yep, i would be careful about cutting corners when replacing Bosch brushes, the motors seem to be a little fragile in this regard 🙁

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
Im impressed the chavs own Bosch in the Preston area!! When i get a call from any of the ‘economically challenged’ housing estates in these parts i always feel like asking “what model Beko, Indesit or Haier do you own madam” cos 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time you would be correct. :rolls:
Still, the tattooed maidens usually wear their machines out at an incredible rate so it can mean a lot of repeat business…just dont accept a cheque.. 😉Madmac
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF541 Aborting progs.
Cheers for reply Mike, press sw was something i tried when i attended call, same result, its the fact it wont switch off on facia, plug needs pulled, that makes me suspect board.
Prob just tell her to scrap it then, even with exchange board i have come to conclusion these things aint worth the hassle. 🙁Madmac
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF541 Aborting progs.

ParticipantRe: First Indesit smart card job completed
You know what, someone should invent a programmer thats purely mechanical, you could probably have rows of switches running down the side of a shaft with cams on.. hey, you could drive it with a little perm mag motor & it would likely be very reliable.. i’m gonna write to Indesit group to see if they wanna develope such a device.. i mean they MUST be plain embarrased with the reliability of their current devices… :rolls: 😉
