It’s got 2yrs guarantee and that’s good. Any years use after that in your case a bonus. Sealed drum, known to be as unreliable as other cheap makes so if that is your budget, go. It washes, nuff said.

The metal plinth has screws behind the adjustable plinth brackets (which also have to be removed).

….the faster it spins the quicker the bearings go. 😯

And with modern machines it’s scrap heap in no time at all as the bearings cannot be replaced.

Re: Bosch Maxx6 not completing cycles

Reading your opening post again it could be that the heater needs replacing and the power cut was coincidental or was the reason the power cut in the first place?

The quick wash and spin are the only programmes not requiring the heater to work hence my later suspicion.

Silly question but, have you ‘reset’ the programme?

Local power surge corrupted the circuit board by the sound of it.

Go for the Siemens as when it breaks you can get it fixed OK whereas LG service is c r a p in most areas of the U.K…. Just saying 😉

Just limescale? I was hoping for a much more dramatic reason given the build up to this story. Gormless women not bothering to check children’s pockets deserves a more tragic outcome.

Is the drain hose standard length?
    Drain hose coupling blocked?
Drain pump plastic cover secured in place?

The upgrade renders the use of Tapatalk pretty pointless TBH. And it gets rid of those irritating adverts.

As far as I can see mobile use far better confined to Safari and whatever the Android equivalent is.

You got the reset procedure correct though you may need several attempts. Another sure way is to disconnect the motor first, reset then reconnect.

You’ll need to enlighten me on that. I’m only aware of Nexus series Zanussi’s by virtue of the fact the sump hose was on the side. All makes and models with sump hoses at the bottom (6o’clock position) have ball valves to my knowledge. Unless some muppet has removed it previously that is. 😉
