    Allan,

Very likely a few things need to be looked at, the blower fan, inlet valve, condenser ducting etc. Not a DIY job though I would suggest you see if we have someone in your area that can fix it for you (see link below). What is the model number of your machine by the way?

Lets not create too many similar threads dedicated to Hotpoints problems eh?

I would suggest then that you call out an engineer in your country to fix it for you 😉

….Unless Indesit co-operate comprehensively with the trade as a whole, then it will only get worse for them. Alienating themselves by their current policies will only exacerbate the current situation. Their latest so called “sales drive” is to ‘inject’ more money into their existing Hotpoint Centre Network in the mistaken believe that simply selling more machines was the answer. Flooding the marketplace with unsellable shoddy goods is no way to run a business :con:

Hands up all those that recommended their good value products 5 or more years ago?

….and hands up those that would do the same today?

Indeed Ken and thanks…I never thought to look in the Public Forums.. :boops:

P.S Daft idea that it should be there in the public gaze at all really anyway, as it only reinforces their belief in the pointlessness of getting machines repaired anyway. Far better we put the point across to the manufacturers and suppliers and keep it from Joe Public I reckon????

You read the ‘Homepage’ then Tony eh? Yes, the writing is on the wall now I’m afraid for many such stories to manifest themselves in the coming months. Dyson is another example and just wait til the Chinese start shipping in the goods. 😯

Yes it is, but a quick blast with a blowtorch will free off the ‘Loctite’ holding it in 😉

Well flip my old boots I never knew that 😯

I got one out from my vast stock mind you, just to check with my ‘Metrohm’ and by golly gosh, the man’s right 😀

…there’s always something new to learn every day from this site…guaranteed

P.S So! my theory of Hotpoint bearing failures has taken a dive as a result of this revelation. However, I know conclude the failure rate is due simply to inferior quality materials being used 😀

Yes they certainly can, your local plumber could do that for you, or depending on your ability, you can get the necessary parts to convert your plumbing at any good DIY Superstore or Plumbers Merchant.

I don’t go anywhere near goats (thank you very much) due to a nasty incident years back involving a randy buck and a very high fence (I will spare you the details) 😯

    Sorry! :rotfl:
