Yes Chris and shame on those Manchester chaps for not fully installing the additional kit needed for “2 Channel Sound” utilising your central speaker.
However the good news is that you (being a handy chap an all) can do it yourself using 2 yards of string and a large baked bean tin. Drill a hole in the base of the tin, tie one end of the string through the hole and the other end to the speaker grill.
…hey presto!!!!!!!

Can’t you guys sleep or what? Middle of the night talking about busted outer drums….. ❗
No patch-up can be affected on polypropelene tub unless its a tiny hole and then a squirt of silicone sealant will suffice. In this case a good excuse for a proper repair I reckon 🙂

iPod?….Wait a while as the next generation iPods will enable you to hook them up directly (and remotely) to your existing midi/mini hi-fi systems and car stereos. 8)

No, everything you mentioned seems normal enough now
With the side panel off and observing the machine, what happens?..Is it operating OK now or what, only, you didn’t actually say 😕

Certainly the brushes are worn and need replacing. Replacements can be bought via this link:-

Goatboy,
That link you have on your site to http://www.howtomendit.com was very enlightening I must say. Never seen that before and just scanned a few pages of their advice forums…Here’s a good one about fitting bearings to a Hotpoint WM series…:-
quote wrote:Remove the drum from the machine.
Use a bearing tool. looks like a big bolt. I fits through the bearing then hit it with a hammer. Must be removed from the back to front as it sits recessed in the plastic drum.
Fit new one is reversal of above.
You may get away with breaking the old bearing but you must use the bearing tool for fitting so you do not damage it.
In a workshop you are talking about 4 hours work start to finnishDodgy amateur forum stuff indeed!

P.S. Well done on the UKW website link though

Oh yes?…..I think you may be guilty of overshadowing yourself with self-esteem to think your customers would give you repeat business on that slender assumption 🙁
Take it from me that ‘stickers’ are an essential part of a good business practice. The average breakdown rate on a washing machine for example is 22 months, do you think after that time ‘your’ customer is going to remember who fixed it last time :con:
…. would be able to recollect your business name?… let alone your phone number?….no chance!
Get yourself a few hundred stickers printed or lose out to your competitors that have a load in their pockets 8)

ParticipantRe: Neff S5443X1GB/13 Dishwasher
Toni,
With the pump cover removed you should be able to blow through the entire drain system from the end of the drain hose. If not, it’s blocked somewhere down the line. Also with the pump cover refitted and a tub of water at the ready, disconnect the drain hose from the metering tank and hit the switch, if that drains OK then the Metering Tank is blocked somehow ❓
Most popular blockages are bits of plastic wrapping from Dishwasher Tablets, had several instances of those 😉
