Re: Taking a Long time to go through cycle

    Goldie,

It’s probably not heating on the wash cycle in that case? It will just continue to wash forever because the thermostat is not getting a signal to move on. Turning the dial to the start of the rinse cycle, it will continue normally I expect 💡

You’ve still not disclosed that all important MODEL number though ❓

Perhaps elaborate on the opening statement on the home page a little more:-

    Maybe something like….

If you are part of our trade then do please apply for ‘Trade access’ where you will be able to view and participate in our Trade Forums. Allowing you and your business into a wealth of Trade Only technical information, discussion, business opportunities and much more. You will first need to request permission…..blah, blah….!

You’re right, that thought never comes into the equation in the majority of ‘consumers’ minds. Price and recognised brand names are in the forefront of their thought process every time and dictates the current buying trends.

“Eco-friendly” and “Energy Saving” come way down their list in favour of “….under £200!” with a top name badge on the front. Reliability is compromised of course every time, sadly more so nowadays than ever before but that is the risk they are willing to take. The average thought process being “….well if it lasts 2 or 3 years then thats fine!”

I applaud your ideals, and I wish it could materialise into something tangible for us all to benefit through better made products that are both energy saving and eco-friendly. But I fear the ‘die has been cast’ and until legislation is firmly put in place to put a stop to all this, we are on a downward spiral 😥

    Re: Indesit DE43 error

It indicates a ‘Temperature Sensor Fault’ which may simply means you machine is not heating (i.e new heating element required?).

Does it just continue washing but not getting hot then?

Re: Ariston AFA250, problems with power tripping.

The only cure is to be based on long and careful inspection with the door panel fully removed. Obviously a wire is now in the wrong place touching an earth point I expect. An Insulation Test Meter is the correct way of establishing the fault, beyond that and for certain liability reasons I cannot say more, other than suggesting you contact a local engineer to take a look for you. Try our database link in that regard if you like: –

:plug: Always pull the plug from the supply before removing any panels don’t forget :zap:

P.S. No wiring diagrams available I’m afraid 🙁

Probably the door locking mechanism (Part No: C00085357) needs replacing and/or the microswitch is not located within that mechanism correctly 😉

That would be the “Heavy Wash” indicator light you’re talking about, which means the “Flood Protection Device” has triggered for some reason. Usually an internal leak 😉

Best get an engineer in to sort it for you. We may have one in your area via our : –

    John,

Could be a tricky one. E90 represents a Main Circuit Board Configuration Error, so it may be the board. 🙁

Best get expert help from a local engineer I would say….we may have someone in your area via our :-

Re: Indesit WE14 F-12 what does it mean?

It is a likely communication error between the 2 circuit boards behind the control panel. Best get an engineer in to check it for you 😉

Try our own list to see if we have one in your area?

Re: Taking a Long time to go through cycle

    Goldie,

Check all the obvious things first as it was working OK before 💡

Make sure the hoses are connected correctly and that the water is turned on and flowing. Check to ensure the drain hose is not kinked and is clear to pump out. Run a ‘test’ cycle without clothes to see it fill/wash/drain/rinse and spin.

Any problems?…Get back to us with more specific info (Including the actual MODEL Number – most important 😉 )
