Hi Martin, they used some salt based stuff apparently. Had a look today and when the drum is full of water you can see all the flakes swimming around. They are bits of lime. No matter how many times you fill and empty they are still there and of course get on the clothes.

    Sent you some stuff.

I realised something interesting today when fitting a door handle to a 211.. The door is shaped like the old Ariston Margaretas so i can see the ariston involvement 😆

I guess i was lucky about angle and flow on the ones i replaced lol, seen this happen to a few and each time i replaced the meter all was well again. Seen one go faulty on a 1 year old machine, must be a weakness in them..

I came across this the other day with a HVL 200. You could change the program if you un plugged the machine for a few minutes and try again.

It could be damp around the element too. i have seen it glow because of this. When the stats fail it circulates damp air so a lot of the time when i change stats there is dampness around the element.

Martin they were the first things i quizzed about. They have the machine about year and a half and it suddenly started doing it this week. I never come across this before… I’ll check the drain hose for a coin

Thanks for the reply lads, so it’s module related. Have to go back later and strip, didn’t have time earlier. Probably not worth fixing anyway? First thing i checked was the flood switch. It was ok.

    Re: Hotpoint dishwasher foaming up…

Lately i have gone to houses where the base has been flooded on the diswasher with no obvious leaks. Due to over foaming and most cases the customer was using those fairy active bursts and the Whirlpool diswasher’s was mostly what i was called to.
