ParticipantNo one had anything similar to this one?
Customer is getting agitated and I don’t know what to tell them!
Other than refering them to Samsung’s repair service.
Cheers.

ParticipantThey measure the physical resistance against the pump impellers and equate to water volume, don’t they?

ParticipantThanks.
I have changed a module before which wasn’t programmed. It came with a data/instruction sheet explaining how to program it. From memory (this was a few years back) it involved entering either a one or a zero for each position on the selection dial.
Actually wasn’t too bad to do.
Wonder if the unprogrammed version of these have a similar procedure?

ParticipantFarm house, so mice did cross my mind, having once found a charred one before elsewhere.
Is it just me, or is the quality of things nowadays absolutely terrible? Never been to so many Bosch/Neff machines with major faults within the first 3-5 years…

ParticipantThanks Dave, will check when I return and have help to access the machine.
But, I’ve never had a Bosch machine do this due to heater fault. Certainly not affecting a cold rinse or spin cycle.

ParticipantDont they usually show E19 if the dump valve on heat exchanger fails?
Are you sure it’s not accidentally in a test mode or something similar?
Incedentally, had one where the seal on the dump valve failed and it slowly would fill the tub after a program ended, took a while to figure that one out!

ParticipantI re-visited the machine today after the customer complained that a program ended and she couldn’t open the door afterwards.
When I arrived, I powered the machine on and the door opened first time. Typical!
Ran it through a drying program and then a quick wash to heat the elements in case it was an earth leakage fault. Door locked and unlocked perfectly.
Removed the door interlock and nothing was wrong there. Tested both elements for Earth leakage shortly after they were hot, again no issue.
The door is sagging very slightly, so mis-aligned in the interlock is possible. But, I must have locked and unlocked the door thirty times today and it worked perfectly.
Not sure what more I can do – there’s only so much time I can spend on one machine when the fault never occurs.
It’s seven years old and starting to get a bit rumbly on spin.
Had to advise her to replace it. Not really happy about it, but moved on.
Thanks for the help anyway.

ParticipantCan you fill them with nuts and bolts & washers??
neon_3SP_glow
ParticipantWhenever a miele DW goes wrong, I instantly think… plastic wrappers in the wash motor, seen it so many times. Blocks the impeller blades and causes heater switch believe the machine is dry of water.
Just a thought.

ParticipantWell, looks like I wont be replacing it anyway as the part is ALREADY Obsolete. The whole machine is obsolete in my humble onion!.

New motor cured the fault 😉

ParticipantUpdate: Resolved.
Fitted new heating element and pressure sensor.
However, it still blinked the LEDs and was silent upon active door shut, proceeded to pop open door after 2 mins.
So, the pdfs you sent mentioned blinking LEDs on demo mode. It was in demo mode. Customer must have accidentally activated it.
Done the into-demo-mode sequence (which took it out of demo mode) and all worked fine.
Massive thanks for your help on this one. Would never have been able to complete repair without that specific info.
Have a great week, cheers

ParticipantTy Dave. Will check/read tomorrow.
I did test door switch circuits and latch switch was open circuit with door open, and closed circuit door closed. So moved on… Will double check.
Machine popped open door twice after 2 mins, so pretty sure door shuts and program sequence is initiated.

ParticipantThanks for the replies.
No, it doesnt struggle to rotate with a full load, it just wont get past the distribution phase and into the higher spin speeds. Even when the load is perfectly balanced (very minimal tub wobble) the second i expect it to ramp up, it stops and starts again.
I’m going to replace the motor and will report back if it solves the problem. My thinking is the same as oldsodchops, it’s as if the module knows something is wrong with the motor.
Cheers.
