Before you go checking PCB / heater , make sure its got enough water going into it ! In my experience – and let’s just say I’ve seen a fair few 😉 – low water levels due to blocked pressure chamber and hose are responsible for 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of all not heating faults.

There are integrated models affected by the recall but only the semi-integrated model I.e Those with the facia control panel on show.

Is the pump actually failing OR is it just not draining ? I’d be checking the sump/and drain hoses for a blockage of some kind …..maybe a coin or button swivelling intermittently causing a slow or no drain.

I don’t have access to check model number presently but does it actually have any water going in to it ? Just wondering if it has an impellor jug in this model that might be faulty ?

Re: siemens combi oven E10 error

All the main bits are on the top. Once the top cover is off , the control board (inverter) is in the black casing at the rear centre . The relay board is front right – It’s quite obvious once you see it.

E10 is an inverter board fault…….normally resets after 3 secs of operation . Worth making sure the 8/10 safety fuse on the main relay board is good.

F17 is related to the condensor inlet valve….but can also be a board problem . It’s a ‘filling timeout’ fault but if its ok on wash fails on drying , then the valve should be your first checkpoint. Also Check the pressure hose where it connects to the pressure switch for splits/cracks .

Re: Help with replacing Siemens fan oven element

The element design in your double undercounter oven has been totally changed now. The half-moon design has been replaced with a total circular element meaning the failure rate has dropped dramatically.

Remember that Siemens single ovens & full size double ovens use a full size circular element. Only the double undercounter ovens used the half moons……which I agree , do suffer failure , earlier than expected .

Re: Heater problem on Bosch Excell d/w Model Number: SGS46E2

Don’t assume the heater is ok just because the appliance is only around 3 yrs old ! As with any electrical appliance , a failure can occur anytime. A simple resistance test of the heater element should give you a reading of between 25 and 30 ohms….POWER OFF FIRST OBVIOUSLY !!!
Have you run the machine since the first failure to see if the fault repeats itself ? A quick wash cycle should get the water heating after approx 5 mins. The reason I ask is that low water levels can cause a no heat fault as previously mentioned , and an upturned vessel in the wash load , collecting wash water , can be a factor too .

F09 is , iirc , a no heat fault . Go for the usual popped limiter on the heater box . Check door filter for over fluffed , vent hose for blockages or kinks and check the customer hasn’t been opening the door before the cycles completed .

I’ve been out to a couple and just think its the new equivalent of the WAA models…..which also have sealed tubs , no kick plates and as you know , in some models , no user drain pump access . Don’t think we’re that much into China just yet…..apart from the US style Fridge freezers

What you need to check first is the water level . Once its up & running , how much water is there in the base ? It should cover the whole base and reach about 1/2 way up the salt pot lid. Also , does it make any funny noises when it initially fills ?

Iirc , it means the programmes been interrupted I.e door opened during cycle . I’d be checking the install if its integrated .

Bit of a pain e24 – could be drain pump , heat pump OR something like a cherry stem caught in the non-return flap ( that one is from experience ! )
