The 3g sensor is what’s detecting out of balance loads. I wouldn’t trust running it without it unless you want the machine walking across the floor !

Ok , I have had this once , recently , and even though the fault code was e20/e21 , it turned out to be the heat exchanger inlet valve.

Do you mean that the rear tube bracket has broken away from the rear wall? i.e the weld has broken ? There is a repair kit to fix this if that’s the case which involves a new bracket and nut/bolt fixing where you need to drill a small hole through the rear wall to fix it .

To release the ice cubes , the tray turns over and then twists as it reaches the end of the turn. There is a small ‘nobbin’ at the rear of the ice cube tray that stops the turn and causes the twist. This may have broken off .
If I remember correctly , you can advance the ice maker by pressing and holding a small green button. (You may have to hold the freezer dor switch) so you can watch the ice maker do its business. This should tell you why the ice cubes aren’t being ejected.

Can you remember if the ice tray is front to back or side to side? (I havn’t any info in front of me regarding model number) The front to back icemaker is fairly reliable and the water going in to it is controlled by a pcb uo top. I’ve not seen one leak but I have seen the ice maker just fill with water when the freezer compartment fan fails. This will also make the top 2 shelves slightly less frozen. The fan failing means no ice cube freezing so no ice cube will be made/delivered into the hopper.
If its the side to side ice cube tray , then this icemaker controls the water supply into the tray and can fail…..but it’s a very expensive replacement !!!

It must be an alignment issue from what you’ve described. May be worth popping the front panel off and giving it a real good inspection to make sure it’s not dented or deformed slightly.

Re: Bosch SMS series dishwasher E24

When does the error code occur ? The start up procedure on one of these is normally as follows:

    Approx 30-45 secs draining
    Pause
Heat pump fires up for approx 10-20 secs
    Pause
2 sec burst of water to set flow rate
    Pause
    Fill.
Maybe you can work out where in this sequence it fails ?

Re: Bosch SMS series dishwasher E24

E24 can also be a blocked or slow running heat pump . The non-return valve by the pump , if jammed slightly open (classic example was a cherry stem ) can also be the cause.

    Re: Bosch wab24161 fault f16

You will need to enter the test programme to clear the fault code. Iirc on this model – Selector switch to off. Hold down start button and turn selector knob one click anti-clockwise. Release start button and return selector knob to off. When you then next select a program the error should have cleared.

Andy , is this a complete stainless steel tub or a plastic base model? If its a plastic base and the water is appearing on the RHS , have a look along the tub/base join on that RHS and at the rear. If there’s any sign of Yellow gunge build up or if when you press the sides in where it sits in the base and you can see water , then it’s probably the base/tub seal leaking. If its a full stainless steel tub , you might see yellow gunge build up on the underside of the sump where the tub sits on it, then the sump seal is leaking.
The leak normally appears at the point the water reaches its hottest level.

When the door nearly closed it should pull itself in. If it just kind of sits slightly ajar and needs really pushing closed , it may well be the inner panel has got bent , adjacent to hinges. If you look at lower outer edges of the inner door , they should be perfectly straight and flush with the side strip of the outer door . If they are bent , then my best guess would be that someone has fallen on the open door and bent the door inner.

Re: bosch sgs43t72gb/06 leak around tub/base joint

It is an ‘official’ fix……just not a very good or successful one unfortunately. The fault isn’t necessarily the sealant but the base warping. Engineers have tried re-sealing it but I haven’t heard of any long term success as of yet.
