Perhaps I have just been lucky but I’ve not had any bouncy cheques since I started in 1998.

Masterpart also sell those dodgy interlocks.

Ah yes, there’s a 6 on the end! Makes all the difference. According to Masterpart, that is just the same as 3111565036 though. I could just order one from Masterpart and see what comes but the postage soon adds up so I will end up making a loss on the sale.

The only washer I’ve repaired on a boat was on a fishing trawler called the “Genesis”. Some of you may have seen said boat on TV in the “Trawlermen” series.

Thanks for the number but nothing comes up for that with Masterpart, Connect or Homespares. Perhaps obsolete?

Did you check the tacho magnet and coil at the back end of the motor? A loose magnet can cause rapid spin when on wash and that could throw the belt off. Check whether the door is locking as a door interlock fault could cause the symptoms you describe.

I think I would just cut the edges off the original lid with tinsnips, drill some holes and screw it down.

If you are talking RRP then it might be advantageous to sell the dearer type, depending on their respective trade prices (assuming you don’t price yourself out of the job). I carry genuine Askoll pumps in the van, Masterpart UN51202 and UN51205. I get at least 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} mark up and the customer still gets a bargain. 😉

    Re: Debor Glue

Ah I had wondered if it would stick to plastic tubs better than silicone. I tend to weld small holes with the soldering gun but sometimes you still get a minute seepage if the weld is a bit porous. Did one on a welded tub machine a few weeks ago. I put a thick layer of silicone over quite a big area surrounding the weld but I had wondered if Debor would have stuck better.

Thanks for the info. Steve. I thought I had it cracked this evening. Put in a towel and a few shirts to try it. Got it so it was stopping and starting for about the first minute of the spin then it seemed to settle down for the remainder of the spin. Machine was certainly shaking but perhaps they always do 😕 When I took the washing out though, the results were less than satisfactory. Clothes were not sodden but not far off.
I had stripped the pulley and cleaned the triangular segments etc. The centrifugal pulley opening seems to work smoothly anyway. I did try sitting it on pieces of wood so the rubber wheels could not allow it to sway from side to side. This made the shaking much worse so I suppose the wheels are a crude form of suspension.

I’ve found those things to be more trouble than they are worth. I usually just fit an ordinary hose instead, especially on integrated machines that can’t readily be pulled out.

Still struggling with this one. I tried adjusting the uneven load cutout device and it will now spin but the machine jumps about and bashes the sides of the kitchen units. I’ve brought the machine to the workshop and stripped it down to check the drum spider. The spider appears to be galvanised steel and there’s no sign of any cracks. The bearings also feel perfect. There is no suspension so it can’t be that. I keep trying to sell the old lady a recon. Zanussi Nexus but I think she would like to be buried with her old Bendix. :bang:
