ParticipantRe: ISE and Wessex FM
Would that be Holmans in Ferndown and Wimborne?
I lived in Trickets Cross for a few months and surprisingly always had wheels on the van when I came out in the morning 😛
And Steve…got my spies out in force 😉robbra

Hi Don,
Steve is nearer to Bournemouth than me. I’m in Puddletown. Came down from London 17 years ago so a bit of a local now.
I was just wrning Steve to get back to his own patch 8)

I’ve sold a couple of Amicas recently and they seem to do a good job and have a decent water level too

Ken,
would love to have the AW23 in the van and not too frightening a price. Looks like a Servis programmer, Amica cabinet crossed with a Whirlpool commercial.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint wt foreign object.
I’ve used Leakfix many times to repair Servis, Beko and Hotpoint tubs. Mainly where the plastic has been pushed out but not missing or small holes and this has worked at the bottom as well as the top of the tub. I also duct tape over the repair if at all possible.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool Washing Machine Drum
Like everyone on here I’m concerned about welded tubs and wonder just what the savings are, a gasket and a few screws which I know mount up but still a penny or two.
Could we do a sticky on which manufacturers are using this method so on recommending a make we have a getout clause if bearings go after we have supplied a new appliance? (I don’t know how to do a sticky) I would rather recommend a repairable washer.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD440 Blocked Dryer Assy ?
Ah, but the glass is good, just the rest is suspect 🙂
Think we should leave it at that.

ParticipantRe: There Go I For The Grace Of God
Sorry to hear that,
Luckily I’ve only had one blow out on me in 9 years just for a pump but it’s the bad feeling you get towards these lowlifes and it don’t seem to go away for ages. I hope to get a call from his ex wife one day but she already knows what a prat he is.
Chin up to all of us.

Any news on this one Squadman?

ParticipantRe: Door boot springs
The front of a Beko comes off in 2 mins and makes it a quick job, perhaps 10 minutes max. Door lock and screws behind kick plate and the Sqeezy (showing my age) certainly helps.

Steve,
Do you ever sleep? 😛

ParticipantRe: Servis M6755B no spin
These machines should always be reset to stop after every wash to clear memory as they can remember parts of previous washes ie:- spin only, fill only, wash forever etc. I reset before anything else (apart from the kettle) 😆
