Careful while working on those Invertor Boards, some of them have capacitors that store a charge for several minutes & give quite a kick!

Is there a selector switch attached to top oven control?
Most top oven selectors have a switch to break connection to grill if top oven is selected.
Have a look for bad connections there.

Back of drum (grill) comes off FROM INSIDE.
Theres screws visible as you look into drum.
Turn drum slightly till they line up.
Remove these & take out backplate, which gives acess to element, ‘stat etc.

Check for corrosion on PCB connections. I’ve had a problem like this on an old Miele with it doing very strange things. After several visits I found arcing (caused by dampness) shorting across tracks of edge connectors. It caused it to fill when it was spinning & also pulsed the pump during fill, also motor went into spin at wrong time, all was caused by dampness on circuit board. Worth a look.

Just to clarify is it the Rinse LED or Rinse Hold?
If its Rinse LED is flashing it signifies Drive Failure (Motor). F4 fault.

I just catch them with pipe pliers & turn them 90 degrees & then when the tab is broken off they pull out easilly. You have to fish out the broken tab before putting in new ones also.

Genuine Hotpoint Jubilee Clip for the job is part number:- HPT9900250

Part number on heater in my van that i use is C00057684.
You need 2 clips , but I keep a few of these as this heater job comes up often.
I’ve found ordinary Jubilee clips are too thick & hose slips off unless these special jubilee clips are used.

I’d check for condensation or tracking on control board , i’ve had some with relay contacts shorted by dampness & giving faults like that.

    Re: Miele G638 PLUS D/W

If machine hasn’t been used for a long time sometimes the carbon faced seals sieze up. In the sump area of the dishwasher, lift out filters locate the pipe going to the wash pump, if you use a tool like a 2 pronged fork you can manually move impellor (if theres nothing fouling it) it should then go ok.
This tool is available to Miele engineers and they are recommended to do this before dismantling. Anyone could make a tool similar, I made one using an old “peg board” bracket.
If however this doesn’t get it shifted dismantle motor & pump & theres probably something stuck in pump section.
Just for the record on the new range of Miele dishwashers theres a pressure switch with 2 contacts, if no pressure is noted after a few seconds of supply to motor, pump motor will reverse, it will try again to wash, it does this 10 times before aborting programme if still no pressure sensed.

Like to be put on the list for a booklet, I have all the error codes printed of here & in my van at present and find it invaluable.
Whats this “subsription area” & how many beer tokens is the said subscription, I’m in the process of putting together some details of how to access service mode on Miele machines, hope this will be helpful to others.

Zilch, nada, nothing in pump. Machine only 6months old.
Went to it car with no tools with mate, clicked off pump & it was free. Nothing blocking it & when you dropped hose into basin it freeflowed water out. Was wondering if sequence of LEDs gave fault codes?
Should it pump out on start -up as most dishwashers do?

Having quite a few of these faults too, i think its the whole pressuse of these tight stretch belts. On the previous range of machines with the spring loaded tensioner I didn’t see as many faults. But yes i’ve had to do a lot of repairs to these. I carry a few bearing kits, belts & capacitors and i’m finding a lot of machines popping the Caps even in fresh machines.

    Re: Miele T430 – 00/14877414 Tumble Dryer

Normally its a TOC or in rare cases a heater, very rarely though. I’ve only changed one or two heaters in 10 years. Just understand that Miele tumble dryers have an automatic residual moisture sensor that cuts off heater after a few seconds if in auto programme. If testing put it in timed drying program. The auto sensor’s carbon brushes can be seen when you take top off. Check them for wear & change if needed.
