    Re: Van Stock

Kinda difficult to say what spares are needed in advance but i find that the most popular machines in my area are Zanussi Hotpoint Creda AEG, i tend to carry a few door interlocks, door gaskets, door hinges, carbon brushes, for each machine. You do tend to use the same parts on a regular basis, i always have a large stock of those flimsy Hpt & Creda hinges & hinge bearings, hpt carbons, ceset brushes, askol pumps, hpt door gaskets which are wafer thin., i use an awful lot of Creda/Hpt oven elements also i find.,

Thanks Dave, there is a lower seal on the machine, just wondering if you order a door seal do you get both.

Cheers guys, Bob i’ve put it on Cold Fill now & its still knocking out on over temp cut-out, customer says that sometimes it doesn’t sound as its washing when its on, (she says she hears it filling o.k but then not washing) so i suspected a circulation pump not always starting..

    Re: Smeg E2 fault

List of Fault codes is on here already

Here are some Smeg diswasher error codes for fully integrated dishashers with display. (Not the latest type)

E2 over fill detected, more likely though it is not overfilling,
    just thinks it is.
    E3 not heating
    E4 thermister disconnected or o/c
    E5 no water fill
E6 heating detected with no water present
    E7 not draining
E8 read error, rest and try again
E9 pause in test programme, not a fault code

    Re: Smeg E2 fault

Me thinks from memory that its a timed out fill error!
    Possibly blockage in sump..

Doesn’t seem to be a Miele model number, normally F 1111, (one letter & 4 digits). How old is it? Check that the door is sealing correctly & fast freeze is not selected.

    Re: WMA44 no motor action

    Thanks for your help guys,

have had a a lot of these Hpt’s needing new Boards, they are quite easy to do & set up, but why are they blowing, usually i change the door interlock as well because they have a habit of shorting, i’ve heard that brushes worn also can cause a failed board, is this true? Most i’ve come across have the symptom of door locked led flashing shortly after start-up, tried new interlock, no joy, then changed board, set-up & away she goes, no obvious leak from doors so i was kinda concerned as to what causes this…

    Re: In sink erator.

These are very easy to remove, i think it just twists quarter of a turn & drops down. The switch mechanism should work on an air operated push button mounted on the top of sink. Its pretty basic really check that pipe is joined to push button & also at switch. They are prone to blockages by rubber bands , bones , plastic wrappers etc, very dangerous to work on so make sure appliance is isolated before removing any blockages. Dirty & smelly jobs but someone has to do it..

Wow what a slur on De Deitch,, you could be up for slander there or is it libel? I’d rate the De Deitch up there with Miele, they are the bee’s knees when it comes to technology & engineering, but hey, don’t be afraid of them…
