    Re: vans

Gotta be the Volkswagen Transporter, i’ve only driven a few of them, my two brothers have them, they are so well put together with. Transits, that i’ve always had are a lot lighter & very tinny in comparison, my brother is a joiner & floored my van & sheeted it with ply, when he done this on the transporter he broke several drill bits, goes to show that the steel used in Germany is not paper thin as used in UK.

Cheers guys for the replies, would this cause the problem described of machine not finishing & staying with a few minutes on the display, even though there is no water in sump.

Didn’t Hotpoint make two seals for this range of machines, one was grey & lesser found one was a beige door seal which was used on some of this WMA range, not sure if they had different rubber properties or not, perhaps some of the Hpt guys can clarify..

What is the reset procedure? How do i tell who manufactured it?
It says Stoves PLC UK, Q 600 DW, type 12033, product code 059041842 on rating plate. Its got the little non teturn type flap valve at 12 0’clock position in the sump, & also there is a non return flap on sump where pump pushes onto. Its got a time delay option button also.

Customer says she has seen cold water machines in action & that they don’t really clean clothes properly, there is still residue of soap powder (white specks) left on garments. Perhaps one of these new ultra-sound machines that are being developed (that don’t even use water) would suit her.

    Re: Miele w820 program skip

Sounds as if its in “SLUICE” mode!

On some programmes (i think from memory) if the machine is set up this way it will just empty out the water without spining. This is a programme for people who are incontinent etc, normally found on machines in nursing homes , hospitals etc.

Programmes can be changed by the engineer.
Electronic unit part no:- 4404422 (£124.10 listed).

    Re: Miele w757 timer

1901172 is part number for timer £187.40 listed price, heaters are no longer available, they are 120 Volt 1500w elements.. 2 in series i presume, so you may have to put in one 240Volt
element & leave the other one disconnected.

Hope this is of some help.

I’ve changed tacgo magnet & new brushes, also cleaned armature, still causing problems, on test if i select spin only, after start (sometimes) you hear door lock, pump starts, hear relay click no motor action, then start led flashes. Tried most prog’s this happens.
