They’re on the top bar that the springs hang from. If you need any parts for the machine, they are available from the UKWG shop via the store link.

Hi: Yes the bottom shocks can wear out just the same as they can on a car, try getting close to the bottom damper & listening while someone pushes down on the drum. Hopefully that way you can eliminate 1 of the 2 items rather than spend money buying both, also look carefully at the bottom damper for any signs of leakage.
Also take a look at the Nylon spring guides, & see if the guide on that side is Worn, Split or not sitting properly in it’s recess. Only seen that happen once but it’s worth checking, the cheapest parts to replace are the guides then the springs & the most expensive being the dampers.

    Re: Setting the Temperature

From what you wrote in your original post, I thought it was pretty clear. It doesn’t say that it physically stops you setting the highest temperature, just that it Automatically adjusts the temperature for the wash programme you select.

Yep: Totally agree with you mate, just interested to find out which way it was tested. Probably with pump disconnected.

Hi Jimmy: We don’t encourage people to carry out any Live testing on appliances. Just as a matter of interest, did you check the power to the pump with the pump connected or disconnected ?

Hi Tony: You’d be very lucky to find a circuit for it to be honest, Schematics / Service manuals are very hard to come by nowadays.

Hi Tony: Can you re-check that model number for me ? You called it a tumble drier, but the only listing I can find with that number is a combined Washer / Drier.

Hi: As you suggested, the 1st thing to do would be to replace the Inlet valve & then try to figure out any other faults once it’s replaced.

    Re: whirlpool timer blown

Hi Dave: On some machines you’ll see a very small amount of movement. If it’s more than slight you need to check that everything is lined up properly, is it the belt moving or a slight wobble in the drum pulley ?. If your happy that it’s running with no problems give it a try with a couple of loads just to make sure the belt stays on, if it does then box it all up & give yourself a pat on the back mate.

Hi: Glad you got it sorted out & thanks for taking the time to let us know how you cured your problem. Would appear that a lot of things for this machine are no longer available including service info.

Hi: Is it actually the upper sring your talking about or 1 of the bottom dampers ?

Hi: When you say 1 was loose, how loose was it ? normally you’ve got a bit of play in the longest side of the belt but not excessive. Before you tried the machine did you make sure it was level ? Also check the suspension to make sure nothing jumped out when you were tilting the machine over.

Showed the picture to a friend of mine who’s been a professional kitchen fitter for over 20 years. I won’t repeat his words, i’d get banned. Suffice it to say the air turned Blue & he told me if I ever got something like that then let some other fool have the job of removing & r-fitting it.
