just an update refiited the pcb tho the machine with no motor action,
tried it empty it spun put it on a wash and it overfilled, blew down the pressure switch tube and it was blocked. couldnt find the bell to clean it out it seems to be behind the concrete weight.
    machine working fine now,
could it have just been a blockage in the pressure switch tube all along?

thanks for the help E06 was a 5p piece floating up and down the drain hose, i learned a valuable lesson, never remove the sump hose on one of these its impossible to refit.
put my “faulty pcb” on themachine and it worked perfectly.
i will now go back tommorrow to the other machine and put the pcb back on.
it must be motor brushes or wiring fault.

these machines are fairly inaccesible but i will check the wiring again thanks.

i would check the filter, it doesnt spin the water away, it pumps it away,

they should have them in stock and will send you one for about £40
and if its not that you send it back for a handling charge of about £6,
if it works you send them the old board.
    call them on 01159652118
    its definately the pcb.

    y be a wvti2842gb/06
it didnt try to turn at all with a load in it and wouldnt turn at all after the load was taken back out
i will go back and take a look at the brushes which are the common ones fixed on with 2 screws.

on another identical machine in the same block of flats today its showing
E06 in the display anyone got any views on this one while i am on the subject?

there is normally a low level on wash and a high level on rinse,
if you are checking the door seal for leaks take the outer lip of the seal off of the cabinet and look at the outside of the seal.

Re: Hoover WDYNS 654D Squeaky/Ratcheting drum

it sounds like there is a bra wire under the drum to me,
have you tried to look down through the holes in the drum shining a torch to see if there is anything there.

or its a loose drum pulley.

    another thought,
have you checked to make sure that the machine is not overfilling with water, the high water level sould be about an inch below the middle of the door.
if its overfilling you could have a blockage in the pressure system.

21 years authourised hoover engineer there is no water in there your first picture is the end where the fan blows the air over the dryer heater element.
your second picture is the end which fits onto the tub front plate.
there is no water going through there only air if you have a leak at your machine it will most likely be the door seal.
by all means seal up the unit if you so desire.

if it was me i would get an old motor from someone and sell the complete machine to a customer whos machine is ber but cant afford a new machine and isnt interested in legal documents.
i am sure someone will have an old motor i might even have one somewhere myself.
    i am assuming its WF000G.

is it the right hand leg looking from the front?
never had that one go its normally the left hand one if you get a leak from the hose at the soap drawer,
i have not heard of surging from the pcb only due to loose taco magnet.
