    Re: ISE 10 washing machine

    You’ve jinxed me;

never did get to the bottom of the burning, but the customer phoned today saying he’s getting an intermittant F3 error.

At the moment I’m not linking the problems, i’m hoping he’s blocked it somewhere, even though he’s checked the filter.

This visit will be number three. He’s starting to get a bit peeved.

Oh well nothing like testing customer / engineer relations.

As I’m typing he’s just been on the phone again….stuck with 10 minutes to go, full of water but no error code……

I hope you told her shes just being fussy?

How can she think its logical to compare two totally different machines with two totally different loads, if there was a load in the neighbours.

    You will never please her.

It could be the selector switch playing up. Had a few of these not catching the right programme.

I can’t remember but is the drain programme next to the spin only programme? If you see where i’m coming from?

The test programme is the same as all the nextra machines. Its in the fault book.

Turn dial two clicks clockwise whilst holding start…. blah blah blah.

I always get an error 13 on the washer dryers but its a phantom error as the dryer is fine!!!!

    Hope this helps.

On this range of washer dryers its common to get a leak from the blower motor / fan duct. It perfectly runs down the back of the tub into the motor block.

    Re: Who is responsable

In my experience if a fault develops under 28 days you are entitled to a replacement machine.

In this case I would say DAD should collect machine and give you a replacement or a refund.

The stat in the front at the 12 o’clock position is normal cause of no heat.

Its a bit tight to access but you should be able to manage it.

Just remember which way it came out and that you don’t lose the gasket.

Thanks for number. Was plug n play, apart from a bit of initializing.

Told em they should have at least gone to UKW for advice before they started forking out money.

Now thats the sort of advice I definitely don’t give out. 😉

    Re: aeg 1271 sensotronic fault

I have a similar fault on one of these:

    PNC 914676001/00

Apparently does rinse cycle and spin cycle ok. But on any wash cycle it brings up 1 in the display virtually straight away after starting.

My first thoughts are valve related.

I don’t seem to have a diagnostics for this machine on my TDS disc.

    Thanks.

Re: Cowboys still riding the range

I do tell them that sometimes, but when its the truth.

I had a customer who said he didn’t want the one in my van because he didn’t know how long it had been ‘rattling around’ in there for.

    I went away and……
took him one the next day, which was the same one. Should I feel guilty?

Oh by the way the machine had been in my van less than 48 hrs.

They need room in the back in case a customer wants to buy the machine they are toting around ready to deliver on another call already arranged for later in the day.

Is this seen as bad / dishonest practise within the trade?

If it is I should have my hand slapped, because its something I do regularly.

Where possible I carry a new machine ready for a quick sale. Its serves the customer with an immediate solution to not having a functional machine, prevents them from paying my call-out and saves them the hassle of going out to get one.

    Win Win me thinks.

    Re: Worst Week Ever

    Reasons for being quiet…..

September, kids just back to school.
October, half term so people away.
November, nearly Christmas so people are watching what they spend.
December, people on holiday and have overspent on presents.
January, new year sales starting so pick up a new machine in currys sale.
February, people skint after spending to much in sales.
    March, nearly easter.
April, easter people away on holiday.
May, could be work out there.
June, could also be work out there.
    July, schools breaking up.
    August, holiday season……

Looks like there could be two months of work in a year?

    😆

I’m sure when I ordered a backhalf I was asked if the old one was white or grey?

    Maybe thats your problem???
