    Re: ISE10 sump

    Thanks for answers.

I will leave it as it is then. Ball and disc removed.

Do you stock the clamps for the ISE10? I’ve managed to re-use the old clamp but perhaps I should keep a new one in the van, as this is the second time on two separate 10’s I’ve had to take the sump off.

K is as anti Hoover as you will find. I think he has past issues with them??

I find Hoover spares pricing better than most, also the five year guarantee does work well. Keeps machines going for longer than others.

I wonder when K last repaired a Hoover machine? Or is it just old grudges die hard? 😉

    Re: hoover code

There are two versions of this machine.

One with a single board at the bottom left side, and another with a module at the top and a smaller module at the bottom.

Are you getting the error on a diagnostic test or in normal usuage?

The smaller board version is 5031680004588.

Re: Hoover Candy – are they OK now?

I have always sold Hoover and I can honestly say I have never had any reason to stop. (I’m in my 15th year of this trade.)

I sell around 100 to 150 new Hoover products a year and very rarely have issues / complaints to deal with.
In comparison I find in relative terms I have had more issues / complaints with the ISE machines I have sold.

I must say I tend not to sell Candy machines as they don’t have the programme choice the Hoover machines do. For example a Hoover OPH147 machine has a 29 minute wash, 44 minute wash and a 59 minute wash. Whereas the equivalent Candy only has a 32 minute wash and its at 50 degrees.
I used to find Candy uglier than the Hoover as well, but not so much now.

Will have to see how the new sealed drums go, at least the customer has a 5 years parts guarantee to fall back on.

Re: Bosch Excell H24 Error Code

Why not give Bosch a call?

This will kill two birds with one stone…..

You can see if they know H24 as a genuine error plus you can log the fault with them in case of any further problems.

(On some machines you can get a H20 error, as in the chemical symbol for water.)

Be sure to have your model and serial number to hand as they will require these details. (This site does as a rule as well.)

Re: hotpoint wml540 guk door lock

I’m sure this new range have a zero delay lock in them. Like the Zanussi machines.

So I wouldn’t try the old type in it.

This is why there is a mechanical release option on them.
(If theres a power-cut or the lock fails electrically.)

Had one where the pump was open circuit.

But generally the module is at fault.

    Jackster;

A waste carriers license cost £140 for three years. That shouldn’t break the bank.

Take your scrap to a local metal merchants, if you have one.
Keep all weighbridge tickets and bank any money paid to you into your business account.

I think you’ll find that should keep your head above water.

    Re: Call Diversion.

calls lost due to the delay

This has always been an issue with me. You never know how much work is being lost.
Many moons ago I got BT technical to put a message on the line which does hang out most of the diversion time. It says ‘ please hold the line calls to this number are being diverted ‘…

that includes caller reject for withheld n/o’s

Do you reject withheld numbers? Looking at the number of withheld numbers I get in that are bookable jobs I certainly wouldn’t.

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

When you give them the bill for, in example, £48. Why do they say I’ve only got £30 in cash, so it will have to be a cheque.

Do they think you’re going to accept the cash?

Thanks for the reply K. I was only really posting in answer to kladave’s post.

It was such a strange coincidence he posted on the day I had a call back from the customer.

I don’t want you thinking I need help to teach much grandma to suck eggs.

Yep. The burning smell was only apparent upon the first visit, since then no more reports of burning.

That dosen’t help much does it!
