    Re: VTD00Peed off!!

I fit a few belts but always point out to the customer the “quality” of build and the “design improvement” of using a stretch belt. as such I wont gurantee the belt!
To be honest I usually find that a belt will with nornal use just about last 12 months

I too hate F8 on these. I’ve even had the boards tested and sent back as ok everything tests out ok and works for a wash or two then throws a wobbly again. all you can do is to advise that this problem is not uncommon. I would like to know if anyone the actually “resolved” it.

I still do work for the agent that charges 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} commission and as he is vat registered and I’m not it works out that in order to gain my original asking price I have to multiply my invoice by 1.307. the agent knows this if the agent tells the landlords I dont know if they were to ask me I’d tell them, none have, but if they dont like it I would advise that of the eight or nine I do work for only one has this policy and the only payment I receive is my proper charges.
I have had a landlady ask in advance how much it would cost to fit a belt to a zanussi and would it be worth it? apparantly she go into buy to let has eight flats and rental that hardly covers mortgage payments and agent charges.
I think my charges are reasonable and fair as I would hope are landlords rents and agents fees. I,m always up front with my charges when asked and this policy has always worked for me.

    Re: Yell.com

your own website will appear way down the list yell is at least at the top and is well known search site I wouldnt want to do away with it. everyone has there own ideas about advertising but for me the places I would look for other everyday services I might use is the place I would advertise “my” services.

Re: has my phone been cut off?

“patchy” is the word one day I’ll sit waiting for anything to come in then it will be a sudden burst of activity. what I am finding very much at the moment is people ringing round for prices and do I do free call out?something I hav’nt been asked in a long time.
I’ve done a job today that was booked lask week in order to allow the customer to get some money together (£50) I’ve just looked at a Zanussi (quick look no charge nearby) wants bearings and possibly spider they definantly want it doing but wont have the money untill the end of the month so thats on hold. put a belt on a lux 1200 for a landlord thah has 8 properties and was moaning that her rental income was’nt meeting her mortgage payments and now rues the day she got into buy to let. took a bra wire out of a candy for a groundworker thats just been laid off for the first time in his life
things here are starting to look very tight

prize it off then its left hand thread for the fan. if I remember right (might be wrong) you can fit the belt without taking the fan off. unscrew the back pull the drum away from the support enough to pass the belt around the drum and then refit then turn the machine upside down where theres an access panel pull the belt onto the pulley (very tight use the old belt as pulling strap)

    good luck

I’ve had a couple where the carbons have gone only to find its a result of the motor failing. not good on a “quality” machine.
