KeymasterRe: Bosch Dishwasher not draining
Hi,
I’ve also got a Bosch dishwasher that isn’t draining but I don’t think it can be the same model. Unfortunately I’ve lost the manual and can’t see what model it is. It says Exxel on the front and has four wash cycles (pre-rinse, quick, economic and normal).
Anyway, I’ve tried to do some of the things suggested but mine does not appear to have a non-return valve or maybe I’m looking in the wrong place.
I’d be very grateful of any suggestions having just spent about two hours taking out whatever pieces I could, baling out the water, filling it up again, etc etc. There doesn’t seem to be a blockage in the drainage pipe as when I was putting the machine back into it’s place water came out of the drainage pipe (all over the kitchen floor).
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Cheers,

KeymasterRe: Neff washer/dryer not spinning
Hi, Penguin45,
No, not THE one – just one whose Dad remembers THE one 🙂
Yes, the repair man came back today and said that basically a new motor is required – apparently it is one small part thereof that is not working – the machine washes, rinses etc as normal but won’t do a decent spin – but that the manufacturer will only sell the whole motor for just under £200 🙁
The model number is V438OXOGB/12

KeymasterRe: Converting an LPG cooker to Gas?
Just phoned the number Dave gave to me and MFI say it cannot be converted to Natural Gas.
Anyone want to buy an LPG cooker? :haier:
Thanks for all your help anyway.

KeymasterRe: CDA Picazza range
hi
I have been working with CDA for a few years now and this Picazza range has a very sturdey build quaility.
as for the hobs considering the area that I cover for them I have never had to carry out a repair on this range of hob even though I know there is a lrge amount of them in my area.
They all come with a 1yr parts and labour warranty and then a 4yr parts warranty
hope this helps

Further to my earlier posting today, I forgot to mention that it is difficult to turn the interior temperature dial.

KeymasterRe: indesit ide 1000 flashing display
Martin, thank you for trying to help.
The power supply board had gone. I connect another 5 volt power supply and it works fine.
Indesit want £66 for a replacement but there appears to be a suitable alternative in the Farnell catalogue for £18. I’ll just have to chop the connectors off and solder the wires to the board. For a saving of over £40 I’m happy to do that

KeymasterRe: Samsung SR-S20
Hi Ron,
Thanks for the reply. I tried this a while ago. I defrosted the ice using a hot hair-dryer. I made sure that all ice was gone, even behind the back panel. The fridge was totally dry and clean before I switched the power on again, but the next day the ice started to build up again and has got worse since.
Let us know how your’s is going.Mick

KeymasterRe: Ariston 1164t spins, but only under certain conditions.
Thanks for your advice ant the offer to supply the part.
The repair company have taken the stance that “you’ve paid for a repair and that’s what we’ll give you”,. I can’t complain about that! It has been in their workshop for a week now and after a number of calls I’ve finally got some feedback from them. They say that the timer ring was cracked (not the problem, apparently) and that the pressure switch had stuck on one test. More tests to come, but they’ll let me know later today.
I can see how the pressure switch would prevent the spin, but I can’t see how it would prvent tumbling. I still like my shock absorber idea, but i can tell that they’re not convinced….
Any thoughts?
