Part number of original part fitted 00755078. When ordering there were two part numbers, the difference being this part was sold as “without care product”.

According to the Bosch website the new pump part number is 12019637 and the other part number is no longer listed for this machine. Does anyone know if the new heat pump is still the same or has it been modified?

    Thanks,

    Keith.

Anyone know what this “care product” is?

I live in a hard water area (Dorset)

Good info but Dorset doesn’t even make the top 20 hard water areas. Lawrence Carey is in #1 position.

assuming they are not earthing due to leaks? the heater part of the pump sits below base level so a little bit of water will get straight in there. Yes I get loads of repeated failures but not usually on install. Usual reasons are the water hardness not being set correctly if its a hard water area or lack of salt (no doubt all freshly topped up just before we arrive) or lack of filter cleaning (no doubt all freshly cleaned just before we arrive).

sure not a “hidden” on off switch anywhere? Wouldn’t be the first time I have been called out to a dead fridge only to find it turned off at an on off switch the owners swear they never knew about despite owning it for years.

yes the coil is part of item 2 be prepared for a shock! there are digital versions so serial number is essential and no access to the windings for a repair afaik. but at least you can console the customer by telling them they get a free pair of brushes.

    Re: smeg washer dryer

when you say no blockages have you really had it all apart? the fan blades often get a build up on the concave faces, need scraping off each and every one. Could be a fan motor not starting up after a period of not being used. Build up of fluff on the front sensor in the top of the door seal also causes issues. try changing the resettable toc itself incase there is a bad connection in there causing heat. Then of course there are user issues, overloading or switching off before cycle finished.

agree those strips can be a pain once they start catching, not that I have had one affect the door lock mind, but quote for a new plinth or give the customer the option of removing it is the best plan of action. (and you can guess what they will go for)

having said that, often these Electrolux dry heaters read fine when cold. Its only after they have been on for a while the insulation drops and then can quickly regain their integrity by the time you have untangled your meter leads. Guessing a lot of experienced engineers have found this out the hard/expensive way.

So therefore I cannot be responsible for dropping down the ‘rankings’ table. Simple things like regular fodder Bosch dishwasher heat pumps – out of stock.
At least it’s not just me that’s affected.
Maybe the acquisition of Masterpart and Jegs has stretched them a bit? Could this be the reason for a shocking lack of stock? Hopefully they get back on track as I find Qualtex are usually really good. Felt a bit guilty giving it all to Connect, but I feel I have no option at the moment I’m afraid.

    Steve.

Exactly the same as me Steve, have had heat pumps on back order now since 19th Jan. yet BSH themselves and connect have them so no stock shortages there which means only one thing as far as I can see, credit issues, the same as we would have if we didnt settle our account.

would that affect stock levels? they would just bung the price up.

Qualtex seem to inherited the worse aspects of Masterpart….. everything is out of stock!
